Enes Kanter Freedom Calls out LeBron James for Criticizing the United States Over Griner – Opinion

Enes Kanter Freedom calls out LeBron James for his comments on the latest episode of his HBO show “The Shop” when speaking about the Brittney Griner situation.

We reported Tuesday that LeBron James had criticized America when he made his comments about Brittney Griner.

LeBron said that:

“Now, how can she feel like America has her back? I would be feeling like, ‘Do I even want to go back to America?’”

Following those comments by James, he tried clarifying his statement by saying his comments were not meant to be a knock on “our beautiful country.”

Kanter fired back at James following the “clarification” of his comments.

“You call it a step back, we call this a walk back.”

Kanter was not shy in his words and did not hesitate to tell LeBron that he can leave America at any time he chooses.

“You are free to leave buddy or you can even volunteer for an exchange for her.”

Kanter proposed the idea to trade LeBron to Russia to get Griner. LeBron seems to not appreciate Russia’s freedoms and the opportunity to be a billionaire.

“Some people literally have NO idea what is it like to live in a dictatorship … Keep taking your freedom for granted.”

Kanter is intimately involved in this topic, having fought with the murderous Turkish dictator Recep Tyyip Erdogan. In 2018, Kanter’s father was sentenced to 15 years in prison by the Turkish government. Kanter said this is Turkey’s way of attacking him for being critical of the country’s leadership.

“No matter what happens, I will continue to keep fighting for human rights and freedom of speech, justice and democracy above all … I will stand for what I believe in. All I’m doing is trying to be the voice of all those innocent people.”

Kanter was also a vocal advocate for the Armenian Genocide. 1.5 million Armenians were killed by Turks in 1915. To this day, however, the Turkish government continues to deny that it happened. Kanter (who is Turkish) posted a tweet saying that he received death threats in 2021 after he claimed the Armenian Genocide actually took place in 1915 and Turkey is responsible for it.

Kanter spoke out during the Hong Kong-China situation. Kanter supported Hong Kong while the NBA and LeBron remained quiet.

Kanter recognizes how great the United States of America is and appreciates all the opportunities it offers. Even though Americans might disagree, America is the best nation in the world. America’s foundations are solid.
