On Wednesday, The Right Scoop reported on MSNBC anchor Chuck Todd fretting that Democrats were headed for massive electoral defeat: “Todd says that Democrats are in for a shellacking at the midterms later this year because of a new poll they’ve taken on the direction of the country.”
“71% of respondents say the country is headed in the wrong direction and Todd said that has only happened one other time in the history of their poll,” the article explained about the worried host’s analysis. It added: “He says 65% is really bad, which is why he says that Democrats are in for a shellacking this year.”
