Economic Sanctions On Chelsea F.C. Eased

British government have relaxed many sanctions that were placed two weeks ago against Chelsea F.C. This will allow the club to enjoy greater financial freedom over the long-term.

Blues can now sell tickets, something they weren’t allowed to do before the sanctions were applied. However there are limitations and caveats to how this could happen. Chelsea will still be able to sell tickets for all games, however any profits from ticket sales will go to the Premier League. Chelsea asked that any profits made from ticket sales be donated to charities helping victims of the Ukraine War. This was in good faith.

Furthermore, Chelsea has been given a £30 million fund from its parent company, Fordstam Ltd, to operate the club. Roman Abramovich is the former Chelsea owner. Once a new owner has been found, all sanctions will be lifted. There are many suitors for the club’s world-famous brand.

Chelsea’s next match is a home Premier League tilt against Brentford on April 2. Now that sanctions are lifted, thousands of fans will show their support.
