Kamala Harris committed a huge error while speaking at DNC. I covered it over the weekend. The incident started out as an ordinary word salad, but it quickly turned into a huge problem.
KAMALA HARIRIS: So, I’ll say what we all know and repeat over and again that the United States is with the Ukrainian people to defend the NATO Alliance. pic.twitter.com/Ix1BY1BQ4G

“So, I will say what I know we all say and I will say over and over again, the United States stands firmly with the Ukrainian people in defense of the NATO Alliance.” Now there isn’t any question that what she said, the video makes it clear and as I noted, it’s a big problem if she didn’t understand that Ukraine isn’t part of NATO. Plus, saying it like this — particularly at this time — could lead to more issues with the Russians using the comment as a provocation.
But then I noticed that Fox News had added an “and” into the quote in their account so it read “So, I will say what I know we all say and I will say over and over again, the United States stands firmly with the Ukrainian people [and] in defense of the NATO Alliance.” The reason Fox added it in was that the White House cleaned up the transcript and added that in. But that isn’t what she said. Not even close. It’s possible to add other things. [ ]It doesn’t matter if the intent was clear, but there was something left out. But you don’t add it in to change the nature of what was said to cover her mistake. The White House transcript is supposed to be the historical record of what occurred and they’re messing with that to cover up that she was wrong.
But there’s more.
We don’t know how to determine if she intended it that way. Three days later, it was posted by @KamalaHarris on Twitter.
“When I was in Poland, I met with U.S. and Polish service members, thanking them for standing with our NATO allies for freedom, peace, and security,” a tweet from the @KamalaHarris account stated. “The United States stands firmly with the Ukrainian people in defense of the NATO alliance.”
Harris also met with Polish and American military personnel in this tweet.
But then they deleted it from the account then posted a new tweet with the “and” added. And in the process, we find out something interesting — that it’s the DNC who’s running Kamala’s account. So a spokesperson from Harris’ office tried to lay it off on them.
“The ‘and’ was omitted by accident, so we took it down and reposted with the correct remarks,” the DNC said in an emailed statement to Fox News.
Hilarious, it wasn’t “omitted by accident” — she never said it. And if the DNC is running her account, they’re ignorant that they posted what she said without realizing the problem, even after the White House had run the cover-up on the transcript.
Rebekah Koffler, a former DIA intelligence officer and author of “Putin’s Playbook: Russia’s Secret Plan to Defeat America,” told Fox News Digital that the tweet from Harris’ account “simply confirmed to the Russians what they suspected all along – and that is that Ukraine is de facto already halfway into NATO.”
Unfortunately, we have the Biden-Harris folks in charge now so it’s a constant effort to deal with all the mess they leave in their wake and it puts us all in a more dangerous position.
