Here we go again. Democrats found another excuse to call their political opponents racist. Tuesday saw the Supreme Court confirm Judge Ketanji brown Jackson. Already, Republicans are calling Republican senators vicious racists because they dare to challenge her qualifications.
It was possible for Mr. Magoo to see this from far away. Many left-wing chattering members have begun to make false allegations of racism at GOP lawmakers in response to questioning the nominee.
Elie Mystal, a professional race-baiter wrote an article for The Nation where he claimed Republicans would do any kind of racism to stop Jackson being appointed to the Supreme Court. He wrote:
But. Republicans continue to be Republicans. Even if they can’t stop Ketanji Brown Jackson, they’re going to engage in all manner of nastiness, just to rile up their racist, violent base. Republicans hate Black people to make their money. They will repeat Jackson’s attacks in every fundraising material they distribute. Below is a summary of things to look out for during the confirmation hearings.
Late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel also suggested that daring to question parts of Jackson’s record is an indicator that GOP senators spend their weekends burning crosses in white hoods. “These hearings, they give a number of our Republican senators the chance to compete in one of their favorite events: the subtle racism jamboree,” he said.
He added: “That would be the GOP’s ultimate nightmare: having this decided by two black women whose names they can’t pronounce.”
Juan Williams, a political commentator joined the party in an article for The Hill. Williams argues that any Supreme Court nominee not being a white man faced racism and the same could be said of Jackson. “Given that track record, I expect the GOP and their allies in the right-media echo chamber to use every wink and nod of racist attacks to deny Jackson a court seat,” he wrote.
Surprised to find that Williams included Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas in his list of black men who were subjected to racism by Democrats during the confirmation hearings. While I do not agree, I appreciate the consistency.
The accusations of racism were about as predictable as President Joe Biden’s gaffes. After all, it is the Democrats’ favorite political tactic, n’est ce pas? It is easy to discern the Bovine Excrement in this instance.
Everyone who follows politics is aware that Jackson is just the beginning. Before being appointed to the Supreme Court, every nominee has been thoroughly reviewed and scrutinized. Republicans will not treat her differently than other candidates for the top court. It is evident that she won’t have to go through the same thing as Clarence Thomas or Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh. It wouldn’t be wise to attribute her racism-related treatment regardless of whether or not she is confirmed. We should expect more from the left.
