Every American There is not a DemocratIt has been known since 2020’s primaries. While the Democrat Party has all but told voters they’re far too stupid to understand the brilliance of the party’s initiatives, Democrat Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) Chair Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney (D-NY) begs to differ.
As reported by The Washington Post, Maloney, who represents parts of the Hudson Valley north of New York City, which voted for Donald Trump in 2016 and Joe Biden in 2020, put it bluntly during the Democrat Party’s annual retreat in Philadelphia on Thursday: “The problem is not the voters. The problem is us.”
Maloney went for the finish, and it was hard.
They think that we’re divisive and too focused on cultural issues. They think that we’re preachy. When it comes to the education of their children in school, they think we behave like we are superior than parents. Problem is not voters. We are the problem.
Maloney’s thumbnail analysis was correct. Except Democrats don’t Take action like they know better than parents and the rest of us (see: “basket of deplorables,” “guns-and-religion bitter clingers”); they Believe it.For ample evidence, one need only look at the pompous condescension displayed by everyone, from Nancy Pelosi and Joe Biden to the flying monkeys in his cabinet to White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki to name a few.
Toss in “The height of hypocrIsy of the Democrat Party knows no bounds,” and there you have it.
But alas. Maloney isYet, he is a Democrat. His objective analysis of the party’s dire situation was spot-on, but his truth train ran aground, right in the middle. DenialLand. If the Democrat Party is to right its sinking ship, suggested the New York Democrat, it must “embrace Biden’s style.” No — really.
You might be asking, “Why in the heck?” You can see it as transcribed by WaPo.
He’s the one we should all strive to be. If there’s a kid with a stutter, the president’s gonna fall all over him. If there’s a cop or a firefighter who had a tough time, Joe Biden’s gonna wrap his arm around him.
That’s perfect. It’s perfect.
Maloney wasn’t the only Democrat in attendance to speak to the obvious. Jamaal Bowman, a leftist newcomer to the caucus from New York (D-N.Y.), agreed. The majority of Maloney’s “preachy” assessment, although he thinks the party is more popular than Maloney suggests, as transcribed by WaPo.
“I do think we can get soap-boxy from time to time, and I think we need to do a lot more listening and engaging, and connecting with people who may not agree with us initially,” Bowman told reporters. Initially? It is stunning. The Democrat Party ignores poll after poll showing that the majority of voters don’t agree with its radical-left agenda. Then there’s the issue of Afghanistan and Ukraine at their southern borders.
Oh — I almost forgot to share my favorite Maloney line, who continued to twist himself into an illogical pretzel:
They like what we’re doing, but they’re not sure about us.
#ProTip for Representative Maloney: Voters don’t respond to reputable political opinion polls based on how much they like or don’t like the politicians behind the issues, and they sure as hell don’t vote for nominees as if a particular election is a popularity contest. OK — one example to the contrary comes to mind, but I’ll leave That’s it! alone.
Moreover, Mr. Maloney, please try to convince me that voters who are disgusted with more than a year of the Biden Border Crisis, the Biden Energy Crisis, the Biden Afghanistan Debacle, the Biden Supply Chain crisis, Bidenomics, Bidenflation, and now Ukraine would set their disgust aside in November if left-wing-driven Democrats on Capitol Hill adopted your “Be Like Joe” mantra — and started falling all over a kid with a stutter and started wrapping his or her arms around a cop or a firefighter who’s had a rough time.
I’ll wait.
