Deep Thoughts With Kamala Harris Commence in Munich – Opinion

According to the Biden administration Vladimir Putin made it clear that he has decided to invade Ukraine again. Of course, we’ve heard that numerous times over the last several weeks, so whether such a prediction will finally prove true remains an open question.

Still, there’s no doubt that tensions are high, and that this would be the perfect time for the President of the United States to at least make a feeble attempt at doing his job. Joe Biden cannot be located, and Kamala Harris is being assigned to de-escalate a potential European land conflict.

How’s that going? Well, it’s going about as well as her attempts to fix the border crisis.

What would you do to calm the financial markets? Actually explaining what “specific and appropriate” steps are being taken to mitigate the cost of a Russian invasion. Are there plans for the administration to approve a series of oil and gas leasing agreements to boost domestic production? Biden to revive Keystone XL’s pipeline? It is currently in limbo and waiting for a Republican president.

All of these things are unlikely to occur. All the administration is going to do is beg OPEC for more production, and we’ve seen how well that’s worked out over the last year. Our leaders are amateurs. Worse, we are being led by arrogant amateurs who won’t listen to reason nor take an action that would actually help people. Making the far-left squee is Harris’ priority, and always will be.

Beyond this, you can see the weakness shown in not taking economic action against Russia. Putin may be sensing it. Harris’ assertion they may use the SWIFT system to isolate Russia if an escalation happens is mind-blowing. Is it really what she calls a “invasion force” and shelling Donbas in an attempt to provoke an attack?

But hey, who needs an effective strategy when you’ve got deep thoughts like this leading the way.

I’m pretty sure everyone understands the significance of it. What people don’t understand is the fecklessness with which the current administration is carrying itself. Although no one likes war, Biden did everything wrong in pursuing de-escalation.

Lastly, I can’t end this article without commenting on Biden’s absence. The fact that President Obama decided to spend another four days at home after declaring an imminent invasion in Europe is outrageous. Furthermore, it is an act of dereliction to serve Kamala and skip on the Munich Security Conference. This conference is attended by most major players in the region, including the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zilensky.

Harris does not have the experience or ability to steward U.S. foreign policy, and though I don’t believe Biden does either, he does at least hold the office that’s supposed to do it. It is absurd for him not to have at least attempted to resolve an international crisis. We don’t have a president.
