The decline of DC Comics has been nothing short of deserved, and nothing makes it deserve it more than the current Superman run, or more accurately, the run of Jonathan Kent, Superman’s son.
Just to catch you up, Jon Kent is a leftist’s leftist. He fights for climate change, open borders, and he’s part of the LGBT scene, complete with a pink-haired boyfriend. It is surprising, but no one has read it.

The misinformation is now the enemy of this new Superman.
As I’ve stated previously, misinformation is pretty much whatever is inconvenient to leftist narratives…
…but right now it’s giving the new Superman grief because fake news outlets are framing the new Superman for the murder of another according to CBR.com. The president of an unaffiliated country is also trying to bring him down.
Anyone can now run a social media smear campaign to attack Jon and his dad. They could use any information they have about their personal or professional lives. Jon himself is still just barely of legal age, he doesn’t have the savvy or training to deal with someone attacking his credibility this way, especially when that someone is the president of a foreign country.
If you’re of the leftist persuasion, this storyline couldn’t make you giddier. Indeed, the author of the CBR article credits this new Superman with having done more good than his father ever did because he’s not just putting out fires and rescuing people, he’s also combatting misinformation and bringing more awareness about climate change.
The fight against misinformation, foreign presidents and other such things is an obvious nod to Russian accusations of right-leaning news outlets like Fox News being secretly controlled by Russians. It’s a tinfoil hat theory that turns the most gullible into left-leaning Alex Jones’s.
If you’re everyone else, this is likely the dumbest chapter yet, and one more reason DC Comics is a swiftly sinking ship. It’s a dumb storyline and one that Marvel had already mastered ages ago with the Daily Bugle’s constant libel of Spider-Man, but I digress.
At this point, no one is reading and yet they continue to create storylines like this one that won’t sell to anyone but a very small group of very angry and bitter people. This gives off the idea that, at this point, they’re just writing these comics out of spite as much as they are ideological adherence. DC Comics is so woke it’s going broke, and they won’t stop. They’d rather sink a ship built by better men than they then stop bludgeoning everyone over the head with woke ideas, using superheroes bearing symbols you grew up with as a tool.
