On Sunday, a major polling organization released horrible numbers about Joe Biden. It found him at the lowest point yet with only 38 percent of Americans appraising his job. The poll was censored by Net-TV networks Monday morning and Sunday night. USA Today/Suffolk University. Also, the poll found that a shocking 64 percent of Americans don’t want Biden to run for reelection, including 30 percent of Democrats.
The Sunday edition of the CBS Weekend NewsAnd World News TonightBiden avoided this very unpleasant news. (NBC’s Nightly Newsdid not air. On Monday, NBC’s Today, ABC’s Good Morning AmericaAnd CBS MorningsAll of them skipped it. That’s a combined seven hours of possible air time.
CBS MorningsThe reference could only be vague. Speaking of the infrastructure deal, Nancy Cordes ambiguously mentioned: “Democrats are really hoping it’s going to help shore up some of the President’s poll numbers after the party took a series of hits in state elections last week.”
It’s not like this wasn’t a major poll. It’s on the front page of Monday’s USA Today, a national newspaper. Rick Rouan, Susan Page, and Rick Rouan were the authors.
One year prior to the midterm elections in 2022, Republicans have a strong lead on the congressional ballot. President Joe Biden’s approval rating falls to 38%.
An USA TODAY/Suffolk University Survey, conducted from Wednesday to Friday, revealed that Biden has a lower support among those independent voters who gave him victory over Donald Trump one-year ago.

Respondents say that if the midterm elections were held today, 46%-38% of respondents would choose their Republican candidate for Congress over the Democratic by 46%-38%. This advantage would be good for GOP prospects for gaining the majority in the House.
By contrast, Fox and Friends on Monday covered the crumbling Biden numbers. Co-host Steve Doocy detailed the disastrous percent of Americans who don’t want Biden to run:
At an all-time low, approval ratings are now very low. New polls from USA Today, Suffolk and Suffolk show that his approval rating stands at 38 percent. It’s the lowest rating of any modern president history in history, except as they note, the former president Donald Trump. The interesting part is that 64% of Americans don’t want him running for reelection. About 30 are Democrats.
My NewsBusters Study from October 26 reveals the biden-related efforts to conceal troubling news. I explained how the networks covered Donald Trump’s low polling almost twice as much as Biden:
The last three months have been nightmarish for Joe Biden’s presidency. In August, his popularity started to plummet, dropping precipitously so that, by late October, some polls had him dipping into the high 30s as Afghanistan, inflation and an inability to accomplish his domestic agenda have altered a once popular president’s fortunes. But, NBC, CBS, and ABC had nearly twice as many mentions of Trump’s poor polling than Donald Trump.
MRC analysts compared the evening and morning broadcast news programming from October 1, 2021 to Oct 25, 2021 for Biden vs. Trump’s August 1, 2017 to Oktober 25 2017. While ABC, CBS and NBC mentioned Donald Trump’s unpopularity 37 times, they only noted the rapidly dropping numbers for Biden 19 times.
Journalists try to help Biden, and minimize the negative effects of his popularity. But as the polling and last week’s terrible elections proved, it isn’t working.
