We’ve seen the beginning of a red wave after the results of the Nov. 2 elections, with the win by Glenn Youngkin and other the seats in Virginia, the surprisingly tight race in New Jersey, and other Republican wins around the country.
Recent polls indicate a notable shift in Congressional support for Republican candidates, over Democratic candidates. This is due to the continuing dissatisfaction Americans feel about the actions and policies of Joe Biden and Democrats.
They would choose the Republican candidate over that of the Democratic candidate if the election was held today by 46 to 38 percent. Congressional Republicans are also more favorable than Democrats right now, with a score of 35 to 29 per cent.
That doesn’t bode well for the Democrats. According to the NBC poll we just saw, Americans rank Republicans higher across the board as they are more able and able deal with the most pressing issues.
That’s looking good, come 2022. Is the wave likely to continue in those elections? Given Biden’s unpopularity and very low approval numbers, the chances seem very good for a historic pick-up of seats around the country.
Now there’s more good news for Republicans.
Cook Political Report has revealed that the Republicans have won eight crucial gubernatorial elections. Check out these states where the Republican trend is shifting. Michigan with Gretchen Whitmer (execrable Democratic Governor), queen of pandemic restriction.
Wisconsin, Michigan (and Nevada), Maine, New Mexico and South Carolina moved to their right. Michigan, Wisconsin, and Nevada, three pivotal battleground states, shifted from “Lean Democratic” to “Toss Up.” Each of those states has first-term Democratic incumbents — Govs. Tony Evers and Gretchen Whitmer were respectively elected as governors. Evers and Whitmer were criticized for their Wuhan coronavirus actions, and this may have been against them in the next election.
Maine, New Mexico and Oregon moved in the Republican’s direction more than South Carolina, Iowa, South Carolina, Oregon, and Oregon. While the first three are still favoring the Democrats, they made positive moves to the right to “likely Democrat” from “solid Democrat” or from “likely Democrat” to “lean Democrat.” Meanwhile, Iowa and South Carolina have gone from likely Republican to solid Republican.
A total of 11 Governors Races were shifted this week @CookPolitical — 8 toward Rs, 3 toward Ds.

Three electoral races shifted toward Democrats. They moved Georgia from “Leans Republican” to “Toss-up” after Stacey Abrams announced that she would be running. These moves, however, show that Republicans are strong going into next year’s elections. It is possible that we will see the movement continue in an enormous wave.
