Coogler’s Brush With Bank of America Is Further Exposure of the Left’s Tactics – Opinion

Amazing that the case involved a mistaken identity. Black PantherRyan Coogler is a director and Bank of Ohio teller AmericaAnother example of the Left’s abuse of conservatives who are believers in individual liberty is their treatment towards those who feel like they lack empathy. Coogler was exercising his right to his own money—and doing it legally, was suspected of being a bank robber and arrested without proof.

Do you sound familiar? Due process, much?

The Atlanta Police confirmed Coogler’s identity only after the arrest of him and two of his colleagues who were waiting for him outside the bank with the engine running.

Excellent deductive reasoning skills of these cops—straight out of Bonnie and Clyde <insert *Eyeroll* emoji>. Despite it being the South, it’s still cold in Atlanta in January; so having your engine running while waiting for someone is not unusual.

Entertainment magazine VarietyThis report was about the incident that occurred on January 7th between Bank of America (Coogler)

“Black Panther” director Ryan Coogler was briefly detained by police in Atlanta in January after he was mistaken for a bank robber at a Bank of America, according to a police report filed Wednesday.

Director confirmed that the incident had occurred. Variety. “This situation should never have happened,” he said. “However, Bank of America worked with me and addressed it to my satisfaction and we have moved on.”

Coogler did a great job of not using the incident as an example. rAciSm, Even though VarietyIt couldn’t help but happen.

But, I digress….

It is likely that Coogler belongs to certain industry and racial demographics, which is why this story got the attention it received two months later. If Coogler were a conservative or a trucker, this story would likely have been tied to J6 narratives that the Left is trafficking in. Perhaps the teller was even commended for their incompetence.

Word to Coogler

It is really about how Leftist corporate bodies like Bank of America train their staff, and aren’t beacons of hope. Bank of America used to have a reputation for banking with high-profile, wealthy clients such as Coogler. A teller would have been able to quickly pull up personal information. It should not have occurred, as Coogler stated.

This is indicative of the ineptitude and poverty of those who are hired for these positions. Conservatives use these narratives and optics to intentionally target and marginalize. Coogler happened to be caught in this web.

According to an Atlanta police report, Coogler was taken into custody and placed in handcuffs after going to Bank of America on January 7. The 35-year-old director — who was wearing a hat, sunglasses and a COVID face mask — went to the counter and handed the bank teller a withdrawal slip with a note written on the back that reportedly read, “I would like to withdraw $12,000 cash from my checking account. You can count the money somewhere else. I’d like to be discreet.”

Reason #. Reason No. 9,779 to abandon the COVID theatre; however, again I digress.

The teller, however, misinterpreted the situation as an attempted robbery when the amount of the transaction exceeded $10,000 and triggered an alert notification from Coogler’s bank account. After the teller informed her boss, she believed it to be a robbery attempt, they both called police.

Four Atlanta PD officers arrived at the scene and detained two of Coogler’s colleagues, who were waiting for him outside the bank in a car with the engine running. Officers were informed who Coogler was by his colleagues and what Coogler was wearing. These details match that of the suspect of bank robbery. Coogler’s colleagues were detained in the back of a police vehicle, and Coogler was handcuffed and taken out of the bank by two of the officers. After verifying Coogler’s identity and his Bank of America account, the officers released him and his colleagues.

It’s no longer the 1930s, with mobsters and bootleggers running up on banks willy nilly. It is an art form that takes time and effort. What would a bank robber do? ParticularAccount and allow the teller to calculate the money. Doubtful. Doubtful. Even an average identity theft thief could rob $10,000 from their home without ever leaving the couch.

There may have been a more efficient procedure that was used by banks in years past. Have Coogler meet with the branch manager—without the sunglasses and mask—show two pieces of photo identification, and receive the money in the discrete fashion he had requested.

They instead embarrassed Ryan Coogler. It’s good that Coogler, and Bank of Apathy patrons are gracious. If it were any other, there would have not been the same response.

They also displayed their hands as modern-day mobster. It’s not just about conservatives and free thinkers anymore. Coogler may have been an “accident,” but the next one may not.

Whether it is cryto wallets or a mattress, millions of dollars or a few thousand, it’s time for smart Americans to divest themselves from corporate banking and its Leftist agenda.
