CNN’s Cillizza Asks if Kamala Harris’ Moment Has Finally Arrived – Opinion

No. No.

But here’s the thing. If at first, you don’t succeed, make a COMPLETE fool out of yourself. I have this advice: No. Chris Cillizza (CNN politics reporter): Yes, yes. It would seem so.

First, this. In the movie “As Good as It Gets,” Greg Kinnear’s character, Simon, advises Jack Nicholson’s character, Melvin: “The best thing you have going for you is your willingness to humiliate yourself.” While Nicholson’s Melvin is hardly the only person on the planet for whom Simon’s observation was spot-on, CNN’s Chris Cillizza has taken that advice to heart on numerous occasions — andIt was always true.

Let’s begin at the beginning of this episode. We reported this episode last Friday in an article called “The beginning of Episode 5”. Is Joe Biden making a comeback? Cillizza wrote a delusional article in which he asked, presumably with a straight face: “Is this the beginning of a Joe Biden Comeback?”

As I suggested, Cillizza’s article was silly on its face. We’re not going You can find more information here revisit the fairy tale details, but our intrepid CNN “journalist,” after first lamenting all of the awful things that have happened to Biden over the last 14 months — as opposed to the reality of Biden They are intentionally made to happen — actually pointed to the inept president’s disastrous State of the Union speech as a sign that Corn Pop’s pal might just be on the cusp of a comeback; as if there were EverythingBiden may be back.

Toss in Biden’s disastrous do-nothing reaction to Vladimir Putin’s continuing genocidal rape of Ukraine, and Cillizza appears even more delusional — assuming it’s possible.

Turns out, as we reported on Monday, talk of a Biden comeback was “greatly exaggerated.”

You bet! Cillizza is back, America. There are perhaps as many Even more absurd question: “Is this, finally, Kamala Harris’ moment?”

Notice the unnecessary commas — no doubt added for faux dramatic effect? “IS this… FINALLY… Kamala Harris’ moment?”

Before we answer the question, let’s first visit a few snippets of Cillizza’s Monday op-ed, in which he tries to build a case for Kamala time.

Harris is currently beset by departures of staff and questions over her suitability for the job. Harris struggles to find her political feet. (Worth noting: That’s not terribly unique. Vice President is an extremely difficult job that can sometimes be thankless.

Beset by? By staffers, you mean employees fleeingAre you a bully that can destroy your soul?

But with Harris jetting to Europe on Wednesday — amid the ongoing Russian invasion into Ukraine — the possibility exists that she is about to meet her moment. […]Harris travels to Romania and Poland at an incredibly fraught moment.

You think so? This is what Team Biden did during that time What to deter Vladimir Putin?

Harris will be tasked with smoothing over the situation as she arrives there late Wednesday on a mission to reassure one of NATO’s easternmost allies the United States remains committed to its security amid fresh worries about Russia’s intentions.

“Smoothing over” is not a job at which our inept veep is particularly effective.

As the Biden administration seeks international support to its efforts against Russia’s involvement in the war in Ukraine, Harris will be dispatched again to Europe for the second consecutive month.

How’d that first trip turn out, Chris? It doesn’t matter.

These are the times and places where leaders can be made.

Wait — surely you’re not suggesting Cackles Kamala is adept at “tricky international diplomacy,” right?

If Harris can find a way through this fraught period with Poland, as well as the ongoing push by Ukraine for a no-fly zone, it would amount to a major win — not just for the Biden administration, but for Harris in particular.

Uh-huh. The world might be different if the pigs could fly, and hell would freeze over.

Harris desperately needs a chance to demonstrate that she can take over the top job. (It ain’t gonna happen.] Those moments don’t come along very often, but this week’s trip is very much one of them.

Yo, Chris? Could you please let us know what happens? Thanks.

Finally, the Harris Fan Boy speculated on the 2024 Democrat presidential ticket — and the scenario if Biden is not the nominee.

On the world stage, politicians demonstrate their ability to persuade people that they can lead the United States.

Harris needs to be able to demonstrate that she is capable of stepping into the top position. Those moments don’t come along very often, but this week’s trip is very much one of them.

Do we need to tell him? Nah, let’s just let him figure it out.
