Terry McAuliffe (Clinton bagman) conceded Virginia’s governorship election to Glenn Youngkin, as part of a GOP victory that won all state elected positions and gave control of House of Delegates power back to people. This is McAuliffe’s concession message.

This narrative was rejected by the hard left. According to them, McAuliffe lost because he didn’t go hard left enough.

Their spiritual leader, New York Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, pretty much agreed with that assessment; see AOC Responds to Tuesday’s Election Results and Republicans Should Thank Her.
To prove that this wasn’t just progressive anger, hard left commentators appeared on CNN today to discuss how inflation has decimated family budgets across most of the nation. The spot is available here. Brianna Kessel is the host and Evan McMorris Saintoro is her reporter. The setup is by Keilar.
The US is experiencing lingering high inflation and severe supply chain constraints. Families will have to face the consequences every day.
This family lives in Fort Worth. The couple has nine children, two of which are theirs, six adoptive, and one foster. They are heroes to me because they opened up their homes and hearts for seven children above and beyond the biological family. They are not the spoiled brat who kneels during the national anthem, but these people we need to be celebrating. This is the key sentence in the video: “A gallon of milk was $1.99. Now it’s $2.79. When you buy 12 gallons a week times four weeks, that’s a lot of money.”
FACT CHECK: It is true.
This is not controversial. To CNN’s credit, this story has nothing to do with politics. It’s pure human interest. The far left will blast parents for buying milk, and accuse them of lying because they state what’s obvious to any parent with children. First off, I don’t find 12 gallons of milk per week for a family of 11 outside the bounds of the expected. Personally, I haven’t had a drink of unadulterated milk since I was a teenager (as the Irish drinking song advises, ‘bainne na mbó ar na gamhna,’ or ‘cow’s milk is for calves’), but each of my kids goes through about a gallon per week plus we use milk for cooking. This shouldn’t come as a surprise. This was true.
Although 12 gallons per week might sound like an excessive amount, they have had to stop taking their milk baths every other day. https://t.co/3vwwMWjKfR

The price of the milk was what really agitated people. Again, if you shop for a family, you don’t see the controversy. However, if shopping to support Joe Biden is your only goal and all you want to do to shop for your family is to give a credit to the nanny or buy organic from Whole Foods, it’s obvious that you have a false idea.
This is a common reaction. The noted “historian” Kevin Kruse claimed that milk has never, never, sold at $1.99/gallon because “average retail price” and sh**.
Wait — when was a gallon of milk last going for $1.99? pic.twitter.com/YhsEgS1rIU

If you actually shop, you are familiar with the idea that some products are called “loss leaders.” Grocery stores sell things like milk and eggs below cost to draw you into the store. Last summer, I bought milk at Aldi’s in Charles Town, WV, for about $1.50/gallon. Eggs were $0.73/dozen. This is easily provable by using the internet, just set the date range to end at Joe Biden’s inauguration and Google “milk $1.99 gallon.” You can find that milk was sold in the Aldi supermarket chain for $1.49 only a year ago if you look for it. It is ridiculously easy to prove that even today, milk sells for below the national average price if you get off your ass and look for it…something a real family has to do.
BizPacReview offers one of the most impressive roll-ups.
As Mediaite astutely put it, “But because Twitter is the worst, they got dunked on in a manner that reaffirmed nearly every stereotype of East Coast media douchebaggery.”
It just kept going on.
Jonathan Chait is a columnist in NY Magazine sneered, “12 gallons of milk a week may sound like a lot, but they’ve actually had to cut out their milk baths on alternate days.”
Dan Amara is the Daily Show Head Writer quipped, “This is not nearly enough milk, I’m picking up at least 30 gallons a day.”
New Yorker writer Jamelle Bouie condescendingly tweeted, “I’m sorry, 12 gallons of milk?”
Tom Kludt, another leftist, is also featured snarked, “Honey, could you swing by the store and pick up a dozen gallons of milk? We’re out.”
Media outlets such as The Daily KOS just dripped with vitriol over the family’s struggle:
Media-bait is the Stotler family. They’re white (because of course they are), they live in Texas (again, of course), and they have a whole bunch of kids, most of them adopted. CNN’s Evan McMorris-Santoro interviewed them about their grocery budget, accompanied by lots of footage of the family—including five or six kids who I am so sure are included on every supermarket run—going shopping.
Here’s the nugget
First of all, please hold on. Do you need to drink at least two-thirds of a gallon of milk each week? While this may seem like a lot of people, the family consumes more milk than just one gallon. They might consider buying a cow.
McMorris Santoo was a great man and finally gave in to the urge to weigh in.
Amazing number of slobs here trying to take advantage of a charm family, who describes how it feels like to shop at higher prices. These are very wise and interesting tweets. Glad you’re all weathering the economy so well! https://t.co/AqA26YbwIA

This is Trump’s way of getting there, as they say.
A collection of grifters and imbeciles have attacked a highly admirable family for stating the obvious. Biden has seen the price of milk rise dramatically. The same could be said for gasoline. Last summer, I paid less than $2 per gallon. Now, it is $3.30. If you have a family and have to shop for bargains and worry about making ends meet, then you’ve noticed this. While there are many reasons why the cost of necessities has nearly doubled over a single year, the most important reason is Joe Biden’s policies. It is not going to save their Precious from being criticized no matter how much you mock a working class family.
You will see the same themes if you look back at McAuliffe’s concession statement and his progressive responses. This group treats the American citizen as a traitor. They don’t understand how we live and what our lives are like, they don’t care, and they are quick to tell you that in plain English. They seem as outof touch as the Bourbon Dynasty at the French Revolution.
