CNN ‘New Day’ Crew Parrots Dem Tropes: ‘Democracy on Ballot, Election Denier, Big Lie’

Chris Licht: you’ve got some work to do—or was your stated goal just an empty promise?

CNN’s new CEO has indicated that he hopes the network will become less of a liberal, partisan outlet. In particular Licht called on the air to refrain from using Democrat tropes such as “the big lie” Mediaite reports:

“Licht suggested that the use of ‘the big lies’ is a mistake. It involves adopting branding created by the Democratic Party. This weakens objectivity in the network.

Despite Licht’s purported mandate to steer clear of liberal partisanship and avoid using Democrat tropes in this morning’s opening minutes, Day of the NewThis article discusses yesterday’s primary outcomes. John Avlon and Brianna Keilar, co-hosts of the show, parroted three Dem tropes.

Apart from the “big lie”, the pair exposed the following Dem favorites: “democracy by the ballot” and “election denier”.

Both “big lies” and “election deniers” are Nazi-inspired. Joseph Goebbels was Hitler’s main propagandist. He used this term to describe a tactic that told a big lie, so many times repeated, so people could believe it.

Many find the term “election denier” offensive because it comes from the “Holocaust dernier”, and trivializes the abominable refusal to recognize the genocide.

It is important to note that Keilar and Avlon didn’t come up with the idea of “election denier” as an impromptu one-off. The screencap will show that the term “election denier” was part of CNN’s chyron. It was malice before it even occurred.

So how about it, Chris Licht? Are you going to call Keilar or Avlon onto the carpet? Or will they continue using the “supposedly” verbotenVerbiage without impunity? The network will be monitored and reported back to us.

CNN’s New Day saw co-hosts Brianna Kelly and John Avlon use the Democrat tropes, “democracy of the ballot”, “election denier” and “the great lie”. The show was sponsored partly by SelectQuote Sleep Number, Trivago, GoDaddy and GoDaddy.
