In anticipation of the Court’s decision, the left keeps threatening Supreme Court justices. They also engage in violent acts in an attempt to intimidate them. Roe V. Wade CNN’s Day of the NewFinally got round to writing about hypothetical Roe-related violence…from the “far-right.”
Guest host Alex Marquardt had the report, “Well, here in Washington and all across the country, law enforcement is bracing for potential violence following the release of the Supreme Court draft opinion that was published earlier this week on Roe V. Wade. CNN learned from CNN that U.S. Capitol police have been preparing for massive demonstrations being organised by far-right groups to oppose abortion rights. Whitney Wild, CNN’s live news anchor is reporting from the Supreme Court. Brittany, sorry, Whitney, what are authorities fearing could happen?”
Whitney Wild was then presented by Marquardt as law enforcement correspondent. She was located across from the Supreme Court, which had been strengthened with non-scalable fencing. Wild claimed that “several members of law enforcement” have a concern that people “could use the Roe V. Wadeopinions as justifications for it. And that could include the possibility that someone would commit an act of violence against abortion providers, against the clinics, against members of the judiciary, members of the federal government, and that also includes members of the Supreme Court.”
Because this was all just a hypothetical, Wild made sure to add, “I should caution, though, there are no specific credible threats. However, social media chatter is being taken much more seriously in the wake of January 6th.”
After showing off the security around the Court, Wild tossed the segment back to Marquardt who concluded, “Sadly, this city has seen far too much of that fencing around the Capitol, around Black Lives Matter Plaza, and now we fear that there could be violence over this potential ruling at the Supreme Court.”
After the leak of the draft opinion, the fencing was put up. But why should the Supreme Court fortify its own defense against a small group who support the draft?
This segment was sponsored and produced by Fidelity.

ALEX MARQUARDT – Well, this week, the Supreme Court Draft Opinion was released. Law enforcement across the nation is anticipating violence. Roe V. Wade.
CNN reports that U.S. Capitol Police are preparing for demonstrations organized by far-right groups in protest of abortion rights. Whitney Wild, CNN’s live news anchor is reporting from the Supreme Court. Brittany, Whitney? What are the authorities afraid could happen to you?
WHITNEY WILD – Based on my conversations with law enforcement officers throughout the week, there’s a real risk that individuals who want to commit acts of violence extremism might use this opportunity. Roe V. Wadeopinion to justify that. This could also include violence committed against clinics or abortion providers. The police are monitoring social media threats closely.
However, I must warn that there are not any credible threats. In the aftermath of January 6, social media chatter has been taken more seriously. Washington is witnessing one of these new responses from law enforcement in the aftermath of January 6. It’s the non-scalable fences they put up.
Look behind you here at the Supreme Court. The eight-foot, non-scalable barrier was put up Wednesday night. These concrete barriers are next to it, and really close down this road. This is what law enforcement considers to be physical.
Officials held a conference call yesterday with 150 people across the nation to warn state and local police that violence could occur and urge them to be vigilant. In Washington, D.C., the riot police are available until Sunday Alex.
MARQUARDT Whitney Wild was at the Supreme Court this morning.
