Donald Trump is like Osama Bin Laden! It’s too easy for the ex-president!
Ask Juliette Kayyem of CNN, the “national security analyst”, Juliette Kayyem (a former Obama DHS assistant Secretary), and you’ll find out. Appearing on Thursday morning’s Day of the NewKayyem stated that A year ago, in Atlantic Article she called Trump “the leader for a terrorist movement,” which she later confirmed to be true. tweetedHe was actually “too kind”!
John Avlon, a substitute host tried to downplay Kayyem’s accusations. This was Kayyem’s Kayyem calling Trump a head of an extremist movement and not a terrorist one. Avlon asked what Trump she thought she’d call her now, and if it was too nice a year back. One of his “Reality Checks” was necessary for her.
Kayyem was unable to come up any other accusation than Trump leading a terror movement. But he continued to say that Trump used “terrorism” for political purposes. Anyone witnessed a MAGA-style suicide bombing on January 6? Yet another riot at Capitol. If anything, this threat should be seen as diminishing all year long.
Kayyem praised Trump’s deplatforming of social media and his prosecution for those who participated in the Jan 6th riot. They are “undermining.” [Trump’s]Ability to recruit and Engage and Incite.
Avlon, far from questioning Kayyem’s extremist views, was interested in the steps needed to “break down” Trump’s organization.
Kayyem recommended a double-pronged approach. The first was “criminal accountability” of Trump and other people. The January 6th rioters were then charged with criminal accountability for Trump and others. She then said that the charges would reduce Donald Trump’s “ability to attract a group willing to commit violence.” This ignored that a big chunk of the people prosecuted were non-violent and were charged with trespassing and “parading” in the Capitol.
Kayyem’s past history is one of blatant Democrat partisanship. NewsBusters caught Kayyem celebrating Andrew Cuomo’s leadership in combating the coronavirus. Leadership? Like causing the deaths of thousands of seniors by forcing nursing homes to take in people infected with the virus?
CNN analyst Juliette Kayyem saying she was being “too kind” in calling Donald Trump the leader of a “terror movement” was sponsored in part by The Farmer’s Dog and GlaxoSmithKline, maker of Nucala.

Day of the New

6:36 am ETJOHN AVLON – Let’s invite Juliette Kayyem, CNN National Security Analyst. Julietter. Good to have you here this morning. This is what I noticed. AtlanticThis is an article that you wrote nearly a year after the January 6th terrorist attacks. It states: “As 1/6 anniversary coverage gears up, I reposting my take there. This was criticized by many for labeling Trump leader of a terrorist movementAnyone who is able to use violence and threat as an extension or continuation of politics. One year later,“I think I was too generous.”
Also If you feel you are too generous to call him, extremist Leader then. What would you name him now?
JULIETTE KAAYYEM (Well, he is the leader of an outfit that uses violence or threats of violence to derail democratic processes. This is terrorism The thing that connects all of this is violence and threat of violence, which now drives so much political discourse from the Republican leadership as well as right-wing media. This is not random violence. It targets secretaries of state and various congressional members. Of course, we see it percolate into the COVID space, against the attacks, or language against leaders. So it is that accepting violence or the threat of violence in a political agenda. This I believe I misunderstood January 6th.
There are either 600 or 700 criminal proceedings against those who went to the Capitol. This is why it matters. They did wrong and are currently in jail. This is also important from the antiterrorism perspective. It’s the same world I grew up. This is the truth. Trump is a leader of terrorism. We are. You’re witnessing this. It’s very difficult for organizations such as the Proud Boys to reform. Twitter deplatformed Trump. He can’t fill a space. That is what we must keep in mind. These are his rallies. You know that they aren’t full to the rafters. It’s good. His ability to engage and inspire should be minimized.
AVLON Juliette, you have to tell me, Which accountability do you believe should be in place? SplittingThis movement, as you describe it?
KAYYEM – I believe people must see accountability in two different ways. The first is Trump’s criminal accountability, along with his members and others who conspired to overthrow our democracy. This is what it was. It’s important to not be timid about the things they wanted. They clearly intended to accomplish that. They are also guilty of criminal acts.
One tries to reduce radicalization. It’s crucial to the long-term. It seems that there is some indication of it happening. This is breaking down terror groups. Donald Trump is much more able to rally a violent crowd than he was one year ago. That’s good. This is good news. It’s still not great news, given the circumstances. That is exactly what we must be looking at when trying to reduce the temperature.
