China to Build Military Base on Border With Afghanistan – Opinion

In a totally unexpected development that no one could have seen coming — just kidding; a semi-well-informed ninth-grader could have seen this coming, a mile away — lawmakers in Tajikistan announced on Wednesday that China would build a new $10 million military base on the nation’s border with Afghanistan.

Officials from Tajikistan claimed that the base belonged to Tajikistan and not China. It would also house Tajik troops.

The Tajik officials went on to sell several bridges.

Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty reported the news following years of speculation about China operating a secret base in Tajikistan. RFE/RL used leaked diplomatic information in their report. So there it is — finally out in the open. This is how it could happen.

Joe did it.

Before we continue, let’s take a look at the below map and the location of the “Tajik” military base.

Although Tajik officials expressed concerns over Taliban control of Afghanistan, China continues to support the worst terrorist organization in the world. Wang Yi, China’s Foreign Minister, met on Monday with Taliban leaders and concluded a number of trade deals that allow the Islamist extremist group marble, peanuts, and other products to be exported to the Chinese market. What is the difference between allowing and denying?

Joe did it.

No nation, including Tajikistan and China, has officially recognized the Taliban as the legitimate government of Afghanistan — although I DoI wonder if Biden will be the one to first recognize this terrorist organization, which he was the only to allow to rise to power.

Asia-Plus has provided several details regarding the transaction:

The lower chamber of Tajikistan’s parliament confirmed on Wednesday that the Chinese Ministry of Public Security would “construct and outfit the facility for Tajikistan’s special rapid deployment police unit” on the Tajik-Afghan border. […]

The fact that the base is being built by China’s police force may raise eyebrows.

Nein, there’s no reason to raise eyebrows. No big deal, right?

Tajikistan’s First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Abdurahman Alamshozoda, admitted that Tajikistan would not have control of the site until China completed the “outfitting” of the military base, according to Breitbart, but emphasized that it would be a Tajik, and not Chinese, outpost once completed.

It will, it is certain.

Another Tajik lawmaker, Tolibkhon Azimzoda, said on Wednesday that the two countries agreed on moving forward with the project “amid the Taliban’s takeover of Afghanistan and growing security threats along the country’s border.” What could possibly go wrong?

Joe did it.

Come to think of it, pretty much everything wrong in the world — at least in America — from the southern border crisis to the inflation crisis to the oil crisis to the jobs crisis to the supply chain crisis, to the complete economic crisis, and more can be summed up in just three words:

Joe did it.
