Let’s get this straight. Now we’re led to believe Tom Brady never really wanted Donald Trump to make America great again. The media misrepresented the former quarterback’s relationship with the former president, Brady says, and please ignore the old photo of a MAGA hat in his locker.
Brady said in a Variety magazine interview that, unlike former President Trump, his personality isn’t one to insult people. His first contact with Trump was at the age of 26 at a private golf course, and he thought it was the “coolest thing in the world.”
Fake news portrayed Brady as a Trump supporter after the MAGA hat siting in the Patriots’ locker room in 2015, but now he says that was all overplayed. He’s not a Trumper.:
“I think they just mischaracterized a lot. And my personality isn’t ever one to insult anybody. My flaws are numerous. I’m not here to point out anyone else’s flaws. Some things I can agree with. There are things that I don’t. I have things that are in agreement with my wife. There are things that I don’t. I love her to death, but we don’t always see eye to eye. I don’t see eye to eye with anyone. And I’m not responsible for what other people say. I’m really responsible for what I say. So if people want to say things that I said or that I’m about, that’s up to them, and I’m not going to respond to all those things all the time either.”
Brady, a media-sensitized chameleon, has seen his loyalties shift with the passage of time. He was poisoned by the media throughout his four-year tenure and is falsely claimed to have caused the January 6, 2021 capital riot. It just doesn’t look good for a hip former athlete to be into Trump.
In 2015, Brady called his MAGA hat “sort of” an endorsement for Trump’s presidential candidacy. In 2016, Brady said Trump had “been a friend of mine.” In that same time frame, they’d had some phone conversations. You can also see the photo above of them chatting up.
Brady once said, “I always try to keep it in context because for 16 years you know someone before maybe he was in the position that he was in. He’s been very supportive of me for a long time. It’s just a friendship. Many friends are my friend. A lot of people I know call me. [on the phone].”
Brady wants to change history and it is also trying to end his friendship with Trump. He’s just going with the flow of the anti-Trump media, trying to be politically correct and virtue signal.
They visited President Joe Biden after the Tampa Bay Bucs win the 2021 Super Bowl. Brady insulted people who, like Trump, doubted the legitimacy of the 2020 elections. “I think 40 percent of the people still don’t think we won,” Brady said in an effort to appear as PC as possible.
Brady’s recent public appearances make him very fashionable among the awake, cancel-culture crowd. It just doesn’t reshape history or hide his flip-flopping.
