CensorTrack with TR: Peterson, Rubin Silenced Over ‘Ellen Page’ Tweets

It’s Episode 46 of CensorTrack with TR. This week, we talked about how Big Tech censored Jordan Peterson and David Rubin for using the given name of a “transgender” person.

PetersonAn author, podcaster and psychologist, he is not afraid to share his thoughts. He’s an independent thinker and challenges the leftist view.

On June 22, Peterson tweeted “Remember when pride was a sin? And Ellen Page just had her breasts removed by a criminal physician,” according to screenshotsTwitter: daughter

Page claims to have transitioned from an actress to an actor and now goes by “Elliot” Page. Users speculated that Twitter suspended Peterson over his use of “Ellen” instead of “Elliot.”

Twitter reportedly deemed Peterson’s post “hateful conduct” and suspended his account. Peterson told The Daily Wire in an interview that the platform required him to delete the tweet in order for him to be granted access again. The notice also claimed that, “By clicking Delete, you acknowledge that your Tweet violated the Twitter Rules.” Peterson has not deleted the tweet and indicated he “would rather die than do that” and thus remains suspended.

Podcast host and author Dave Rubin agreed with Peterson, saying that he didn’t do anything wrong. Rubin jumped in to defend him by tweeting: “The insanity continues at Twitter. This tweet by @jordanbpeterson about Ellen Page has resulted in his suspension. I was just informed by him that he would ‘never delete’ the tweet. Paging @elonmusk…” according to screenshotsJournalists share this information Jack Posobiec.

Twitter reportedly censored Rubin as well and told MRC’s CensorTrack team that the Peterson tweet that Rubin referenced, “violated the Twitter Rules on hateful conduct,” but did not explain how the tweet violated such rules.

According to it, online speech that is contrary to leftist wokeism does not qualify as free speech in Big Tech.
