Buh-Bye, Liz Cheney – Opinion

It’s finally primary day in Wyoming. This is finally the day that we get to say “Buh-bye” to Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY).

The polls have had Cheney down by as much as 30 points, and she’s quite likely to lose. She’s so desperate, that she’s been appealing to Democrats to vote for her.

However, she voted in Jackson, Wyoming with her father Dick Cheney (ex-Vice President).

She was talking with people waiting in line. Wonder if she’s violating their electioneering laws, because that sure looks like they’re right next to a polling place.

CBS News offers this amazing opportunity for you to see fawning coverage.

Cheney said that no matter what the outcome of the vote was in the primary, this would be the “beginning of a battle” that was going to go on. “We’re facing a moment where our democracy really is under attack and under threat.”

There was a threat against our Republic. Cheney joined forces with Democrats to counter that threat. But she’s about to be thrown out, so that threat’s about to be reduced a little.

You will notice her little delusional smile towards the end. It is clear that she believes this will be her platform to run as president. She’s so clueless, she has no idea that she would have no real constituency. She thinks that this is her springboard.

To add to the Wyoming columnist Bill Sniffin’s earlier report, I want to note one additional thing. Mark Davis from Salem Media expressed concerns regarding factors that could work in her favor. This included crossover votes with Democrats.

Republican Scott Presler works across the country for people to register to vote. He has made an observation about the change in the Democratic registrations in Wyoming since Jan. 2022 — that the number has dropped by 9,000 since then.

I wouldn’t make the conclusion that necessarily means 9,000 are switching, although the numbers certainly line up. Given Joe Biden, some may just have given up on being Democrats — a completely reasonable conclusion to make over the past several months. Bill Sniffin predicted that there would be about 20,000 cross-overs between Democrats, independents and Republicans. In a primary with low votes (meaning that the winner will likely be between 60 and 70,000 votes), 9000 seems like a large number.

But others in Wyoming don’t think it’s going to make that much difference.

“We see some movement from registered Democrat to registered Republican,” Wyoming Democratic Party communications director David Martin told The Epoch Times regarding the past few months. “But we don’t believe it will influence the GOP (primary) as much as people think it will.”

We’ll have to see how it shakes out — it does look like there is some crossover. But as I said, I think you can’t discount how angry Wyoming Republicans are at Liz Cheney, and that’s going to bring them out in droves as well; the math is more on their side. So, I do think we’re in pretty reasonable shape to say “buh-bye” to Liz Cheney, and hello to Harriet Hageman.
