Police Find Video of Teacher Having Sex With Male Student on Teen’s Phone

A former teacher was accused of having sex with a 17-year-old male student after investigators found video of the two allegedly having intercourse on the teen’s phone.

Brittney Lyles, 29, was arrested March 6 and charged with two counts of fourth-degree sex offense, sex abuse of a minor, contributing to certain conditions of a child and other related offenses, Maryland State Police said in a release.

The Maryland woman was being held without bail in the Talbot County Detention Center, state police said.

Lyles was fired on March 2 from her job as a teacher with the Kent Alternative Program, a school for students with behavioral issues, 47ABC reported.

State police began their investigation two days later. After reports of possible sexual impropriety, police say they contacted the teen and found a video on his phone which showed him and Lyles having sex.

The discovery led to Lyles’ arrest.

Lyles smoked marijuana with the alleged victim, according to documents obtained by 47ABC.

Police also said they discovered a photo Lyles sent to the student while she was in the shower.

According to 47ABC, investigators met with the Kent County Alternative School Program director, who identified Lyles as the person in the video.

Authorities said none of the liaisons occurred on school property.

“It is believed Lyles picked up the victim in her vehicle from an off campus location before taking him to another location where the offenses occurred,” police said in a statement.
