Brian Stelter Plays Dumb (Again) on Big Tech Spiking Conservatives

Brian Stelter was dumbed again during his Sunday program The Most Reliable SourcesAsking Twitter if Twitter is biased towards conservatives is similar to asking CNN if CNN biases against conservatives.

There was zero mention of Twitter’s complete shutdown of the New York Post bombshells on Hunter Biden’s laptop contents in the closing weeks of the 2020 campaign, which has now been verified by the liberal media elite. It was never mentioned that the Wuhan Lab-Leak Theory went from cuckoo conspiracy theory and to a legitimate conspiracy theory.

STELTER – Is Twitter biased towards conservatives? Professors from Yale and MIT have created a working paper entitled “Twitter bias against conservatives”.

You can stop right now. Is it not funny that Yale and MIT professors will tackle a liberal bias in their classes?

STELTER. According to Professor David Rand’s words, this problem stems from the fact that Republicans are much more likely than Democrats to misinform or spread fake news. Therefore, Republican users would be more likely to use social media’s platform in order to promote real news and reduce the amount of nonsense.

A research team found broad support from both parties for platforms to combat misinformation. Although people don’t like QAnon craziness in all their news feeds. Professor Rand believes that combining these observations shows the issue. Responding to bipartisan demand platforms might end up more imposing on conservatives than they do on liberals.

There is not “bipartisan demand” to squash news stories Democrats don’t like. Bipartisan consensus exists on the issue of whether Big Tech should moderate content. If Stelter weren’t tilting this discussion, he wouldn’t (silently) equate stories like the Hunter laptop with “QAnon craziness.”

Stelter suggested that the GOP’s “core identity” is compromised by complaints about conservative censorship. Stelter doesn’t seem aware that conservatives prefer not to have this “identity”. Do you think he would suggest that Black Lives Matter uses a complaint narrative as their core identity?

Stelter put on screen an image of a Rob Bluey article titled “Big Tech’s Conservative Censorship Inescapable and Irrefutable.” When CNN ignores it, you can see why.

STELTER: Now, They are central to the GOP’s identity, and they have been criticized for their online censorship. This Heritage headline is an example of the cancel culture narrative which powers Trumpian fundraising efforts. It is now at the core of Elon Musk’s hostile takeover offer for Twitter.

Musk’s attempt to restore free speech is being celebrated right-wing media. They claim that he is going to rescue speech and rescue speech.

CNN spreads misinformation by stating that liberal media and they are the “mainstream.”

Stelter did not bring Bluey, or any other conservative for the debate. Clare Duffy of CNN and Jessica Toonkel, from The Information, were his CNN colleagues. Toonkel was asked, “When your account is suspended or blocked by a social media network it’s a very serious thing. It should not be taken lightly. This cry about Republicans being censored is what you believe.

She did not even respond directly to my question: “I think his push about freedom of speech and that it’s going to be open to all, I mean, in spite of all the rhetoric that seems to suggest that he is incapable of doing that.

Stelter joined in:Users don’t wish to live in a sewer filled with bull while using their mobile phones. They don’t really want it. They want moderation.

This segment, which is always liberal, was created in part by LifeLock.
