Brian Stelter Delivers a Deeply Important Lecture, but Ends up Condemning Himself Instead – Opinion

What better way to close the year than with an outrageous lack of self-awareness by Brian Stelter?

One can only wonder what one could say about a man who revels in pontificating with condescension over media issues while pretending not to be guilty of some of the most important topics that he covers. Brian Stelter loves to deliver monologues or screeds in condemnation of certain acts and behavior seen in the media. He also avoids those same actions occurring within his network and on his program.

He broadcast his latest show of Trustworthy SourcesBrian talked extensively about the dangers of bad news, and what we can do if consumers aren’t careful. It could be looked at as insightful, although it also can be seen as a rather common concern, and it certainly is a list of possible grievances that would apply to CNN and Stelter’s very own show. To borrow from Brian’s predilection for bumper-sticker bromides — the man is big on InspectionHe lacks the seriousness he needs introspection.(See my actions?

To give you some insight into the wisdom of the middle-minded, here is a video excerpt.

This segment has so many details. There was an unfinished segment with a persistent chyron that held a portion of significance. Don’t be fooled by The Onion’s fake news. This illustration shows the difference in media’s approach to things based upon the source. The OnionIt is considered an acceptable satire outlet and unlike other outlets. The Babylon Bee, Which is right-leaningSite for religious satire. The first is to warn buyers and remind them that it’s a joke site. The Babylon BeeOn the contrary, he is often accused of giving birth.Intentionally misleading information that it “claims” is humor-based.

Brian starts his segment talking about news overload. It is something he talks about in calm, concern tone because he cares for his viewers. This news overload is what worries him, as you can see from the show he hosts. A 24-hour news channel.

Brian talks about how our lives are flooded with negative news. We then have to wonder who we can trust. Yes – he seriously said this on the air at CNN. The network that claimed Donald Trump left no vaccine distribution plan, that repeated the false story of Ivermectin poisonings flooding hospitals, and spent a week reporting on the border agents whipping immigrants — which never took place — is concerned about you placing your trust correctly.

The crux of Stelter’s lesson is how we are possibly overloaded with a tidal wave of news and information. The technology has made it possible, and continues to provide more information to drown us. It is not uncommon for people to be anxious. In the bestseller from 1970, “Future Shock” author Alvin Toffler addressed these very themes of being consumed by a technological tsunami. This term even came up by Alvin Toffler. Information overloadIn his work 50 years ago. Even as many of Toffler’s observations and slight predictions have managed to come to fruition, we have managed to survive as a society.

Now, I won’t dwell too extensively on Brian Stelter making mention how, “Just like our stomachs, our brains are wired to fear.…” I’ll just dwell briefly. He clearly has lost control of his self-control, as evident by his comments. This is the part of the lesson that he seems to be most unaware of.

Here are the biggest grievances Stelter had with Fox News. He has complained throughout the year that Fox News hasn’t been dramatic enough about the horrors and the seriousness of January’s riot at Capitol. This man, who has been lamenting America’s ill health due to an excessive intake of negative news reports for too long, has complained that Fox News hasn’t been hyperventilating enough about it.

Today’s news media includes multiple stories that were not possible months before. People who have been vaccinated can get COVID. A high rate of public infectivity is possible and necessary. Many children are left out of school because it has proved to be emotionally draining. CNN and the negative news media hounded these truths, so anyone who expressed such views was labeled as negative.

Brian & Co. have been harping on the Capitol riot for nearly a full year, exaggerating the level of import that event had and using it as the fulcrum to declare any conservative opposition as an example of a threat to our democracy. He and his acolytes have freely declared all participants on January 6 as guilty of being “insurrectionists”, despite the fact that of the hundreds of people arrested not a single one has been charged with that crime. They love the good news and panic, and mock Fox for being too melodramatic.

Stelter’s masterclass is just as absurd as it is easy to dismiss. While I’d rather listen to Stelter deliver his lecture on rice cakes’ health benefits, I still remain skeptical. Before I can consider buying the product, I need proof that the man is actually eating it.
