Bill Maher Nails the Left Again, This Time on Toxic Masculinity – Opinion

Bill Maher is a master at provoking controversy and causing sandstorms about people he has a political alliance with. This may seem like an act to some, which would be unfortunate. However, I’m beginning to think he’s one of those rare individuals that is 100 percent committed to speaking his mind and ticking off whoever it may be, come hell or high water.

Although Maher is not a conservative, his ability to tell it like it is is is refreshing. As I mentioned in an earlier post at Red State VIP, his views have been shared. Don’t Put Classic Liberals Like Bill Maher on a Pedestal, but Appreciate Their Honesty…

Maher might be considered a traditional liberal but I believe he should still have the right to work for a company that will pay him. I’m a crazy free thinker like that.

You don’t have to fear ideas flowing freely like the progressive left.

When I say that Maher is a traditional liberal, I’m talking about throwbacks like two former vice presidents in the mold of Walter Mondale and Hubert Humphrey. They believed that the federal government needed to do more things to “help people” by taking away their motivation to do for one’s self, since a bureaucrat in the Capitol in Washington, D.C., could do it better. I know that this is a brief encapsulation, but I wanted to give you an idea of what I’m talking about. Maher also fits into this mold, being that those two, former elected officials and others like them would NEVER object to folks speaking out peacefully or advocating for people they disagree with being “canceled” in the name of achieving their objectives.

Like the founding fathers of the country, they valued debate and the exchange of ideas.

Maher, a comic artist by trade, is an admirable source of humor. I also appreciate his views on issues, even if they don’t align with my overall view about government.

Maher deserves my praise. Although he doesn’t hold conservative views, I also know that he favors greater government, welfare programs not working, and overall less American influence. Yet if you’re willing to criticize you should also be willing to praise. That’s what I believe I heard once.

This is Maher’s latest instance of doing the right thing while also flaming his political sides. Blaze Bill Maher blasts liberals who believe masculinity should be toxic. ‘Real Time’ host praises males defending Ukraine, points out how ‘the world still needs grown-ass men.’

Bill Maher laced into liberals who attack men for having supposed “toxic masculinity.” The “Real Time with Bill Maher” host used Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and men taking up arms to defend Ukraine from the Russian invasion as examples of how masculinity can be anything but toxic.

“If there’s one thing we’ve learned from the crisis in Ukraine, it’s that everyone loves, and the world still needs, grown-ass men,” Maher began his rant.

Maher noticed that American women are obsessing over Zelenskyy, who the New York Post and Forward labeled as a “sex symbol” earlier this month. Maher stressed that progressives can’t consider Zelenskyy a sex symbol while also denouncing masculinity as toxic.

The liberal talk show host jokingly hypothesized, “Could it be that as much as women may want to create the perfect man there’s always going to be a little bit of toxic mixed in with our masculinity and no amount of training will turn us into your favorite ‘Twilight’ character.

I know that the “Putin is justified in invading Ukraine” crowd is going to hate what Maher said here but that doesn’t make it any less true. Ukraine’s entire country is now standing up against a despot that has an extensive history of aggression.

While I am aware that we have difficulty defining what a women is in this country, it’s not easy to do so in a nation fighting for its sovereignty and their lives. While there are many methods to win wars in the world, one component that is essential for winning them is toxic masculinity. It’s a good thing that there are still people willing to display this trait.

One day Ukraine might be as advanced and able to discuss whether humans are born males or females.

Bill Maher will continue to speak his mind.
