Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton, under fire

In recent years, the Clintons have been subjected to scrutiny from both within and outside the Democratic Party.

Hillary Clinton has been accused of failing to acknowledge that her own failings contributed to her defeat in the 2016 presidential election. A Gallup poll released in September found her favorability with Americans at an all-time low of 36 percent, well below that of the Republican who defeated her, President Donald Trump.

Meanwhile, Bill Clinton was forced to respond last week to news that Epstein had been accused of exploiting underage girls. The former president said through a spokesperson that he knew nothing of Epstein’s “terrible crimes,” proved or alleged.

Epstein, 66, was has been charged with sex trafficking and sex trafficking conspiracy. Geoffrey Berman, the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, said at a press conference Monday that federal agents searching the Epstein’s New York mansion seized evidence, “including nude photographs of what appear to be underage girls.”

Records obtained by Fox News in 2016 showed that Clinton took at least 26 trips aboard Epstein’s private jet, which the media has nicknamed the “Lolita Express.”
