Gallup has released a new poll that shows how Americans view America’s economy since President Joe Biden took office. It was almost buried by the Big Three night news networks for nearly one week.
The results of the Gallup survey — released Feb. 2 — of 811 U.S. adults found that a mere 33 percent are satisfied with the state of the U.S. economy. That’s a 10 percentage-point free fall from the same survey conducted in 2021 when 43 percent of Americans were satisfied. This statistic also shows a drop of 35 points from the 2020 survey in which 68 percent of Americans were happy with the U.S. economic state. Gallup, in its report headlined “Americans Offer Gloomy State of the Nation Report,” specifically pinpointed inflation as “a major driver of decreased satisfaction with the state of the economy.” The U.S. is undergoing the worst inflation seen in nearly 40 years.
However ABC World News Tonight and CBS Evening News NBC Nightly News didn’t inform viewers of the Gallup results. All three network shows chose to ignore the entire story during their Feb. 2, Feb. 3, Feb. 4, Feb. 7 and Feb. 8 evening broadcasts as if the survey didn’t exist. Perhaps one reason for the censorship of the news is because this is an election year, and Biden’s abysmal economic performance is set to be on the ballot. Liberals can’t ignore Biden’s poor economic performance. Washington Post acknowledged that Biden’s gargantuan $1.9 trillion stimulus bill enacted in March 2021 and his enormous spending “overheated the [economic] recovery.”
The Big Three’s ignorance of the Gallup poll is the latest in an ongoing saga of the evening networks sweeping bad news for Biden under the rug. The news that the U.S. had reached $30 trillion in national debt was buried by all three networks. This is the highest amount of U.S.-related debt ever recorded.
The $30 trillion debt figure is actually even worse once you take into account “assets and liabilities” and “unfunded Social Security and Medicare promises,” according to Truth in Accounting. The “true national debt” — when considering other factors — was actually a whopping $141 trillion, Truth in Accounting noted. Each taxpayer’s share of the “true national debt” is an astonishing “$919,000,” according to Truth in Accounting. The horrific context made the Big Three’s silence on the $30 trillion milestone even more damning.
The Big Three also blacked out news on Boston Bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev receiving a $1,400 COVID-19 relief payment after enactment of Biden’s stimulus. Tsarnaev participated in the explosion of two homemade bombs amid a crowd at the Boston Marathon in 2013. He was responsible for the deaths of three and more than 250 others. He had been sentenced initially to death. However, the U.S. Court of Appeals of the First Circuit overturned his sentence in 2020.
Conservatives under attack Contact ABC News (818) 460-7477, CBS News (212) 975-3247 and NBC News (212) 664-6192 and demand the networks report on Gallup’s findings.
