This week, governors from several mask-fetish state, including Massachusetts, Oregon and New Jersey, Connecticut, California, Delaware, and Connecticut announced that the requirement for serious adults wearing a mask to communicate virtue was being lifted.
It is widely believed that the ineffective defense of COVID policies, which no rational person would believe does not reduce the spread of COVID, is beginning to affect approval ratings. As the election season approaches, Democrats all over the country are starting to feel the influence of the Biden White House.

Biden, his cohorts and others aren’t even close to giving up. They are sticking to their silly idea that mask wearing is a way of controlling society and making citizens self-described as either compliant, obedient serfs, or potentially unreliable enemies.
When Biden’s COVID-19 Response Team (hahahaha) gave their briefing this morning, the question of the dichotomy between the CDC’s insistence that most of the nation should be wearing face masks at all times and the actions of many, if not most, state governors was brought up. At 16:55, the important part begins.
Q Thanks. In the last week, we’ve seen a number of Democratic-led — -run states move back towards normalcy, removing mask mandates. New York will likely follow suit today. Connecticut was one of the first states to lift school-mask requirements.
You’ve talked a lot about leading — the President trying to lead the nation out of the pandemic, but right now, the federal response seems to be following what a lot of states are doing. Is the White House planning for emerging — bringing the country out of the pandemic? How would this plan look?
MR. ZIENTS: Well, thanks for the question. While hospitalizations and cases are declining, Dr. Walensky demonstrated, we remain committed to fighting the Omicron surge. So, that’s priority number one.
The President, as I just mentioned, has been clear that we’re moving toward a time when COVID won’t disrupt our daily lives, a time when COVID won’t be a constant crisis so we’re no longer fearing lockdowns and shutdowns, but getting back to safely doing what we all love. We will continue to rely upon the vast array of resources that has been created: vaccines, booster shots, treatment, testing, etc.
For the last several weeks, we’ve been working closely with Secretary Becerra, our team of doctors. And the White House COVID Response Team under the President’s leadership is reaching out to governors and outside public health experts and doctors and local public health officials on steps we should be taking to keep the country moving forward.
There have been cases in some areas that are more severe than others. This will require us to take different actions and use different times. Our efforts will not stop at coordinating with the state and local authorities.
You don’t seem to be happy with where things stand. In today’s White House press briefing, Spokesperson Jen Psaki got a similar question and gave a similar answer.
PSAKI: Students, parents, and teachers should all wear masks in school, regardless of the state’s decision. pic.twitter.com/PVA7puYbEL

QUESTION – Given the CDC recommendations that masking in schools is still recommended, should you continue to follow them if you’re a parent or teacher living somewhere where it is not recommended?
PSAKi: Yes.
QUESTION: So even if the state is not requiring that you wear masks in the schools…
PSAKI – This is the area where any American should follow the CDC guidelines. As Dr. Wallensky said, and you referenced, they’re constantly evaluating, rigtht, because the data is changing, the science is changing. While it is encouraging that hospitalizations are down and cases have fallen, they still look at the information. That’s why it also important to note the difference between leaders who are saying we’re going to leave it up to localities, local school districts to make decisions. Parents who send their child with a mask to school should not be punished. A teacher should not be punished for wearing a mask. Schools should also be penalized for making that decision. Many of these decisions are up to the local school district. In the past, we have made, funded and made announcements regarding mitigation measures that we will continue working with schools districts.
Her default setting is for everyone to use face masks. Also, she frames the conversation in a dishonest manner. It is rare that facemasks have been banned anywhere in the United States. Only issue here is whether private companies, state and local governments or school districts can require that you wear a mask. Although wearing masks are not penalized, we can take this position as advicement. People who do not wear them will be punished.
We can then draw some conclusions.
The White House is now out of control over at least a portion of COVID-19. The disapproval of his numbers is starting to impact Democrats at both the state- and local levels.
Second, the White House has no intention of giving up in its battle to create a “public health” exception to what it sees as problematic items in the Bill of Rights. However, the battle has moved to the schoolhouse.
Third, the White House believes its allies in this fight are the teachers’ unions, school administrators, and progressive school boards. These entities will be supported in their efforts to keep schools clean and enforce the wearing of masks. I would contend that it thinks this is a viable strategy because school boards run on a “nonpartisan” basis in most of the country, and so they will not be affected by Biden’s popularity. In that same press briefing, Psaki criticized Florida Governor Ron DeSantis for “standing in the way” of school districts who wanted to continue abusing the kids under their care.
.@JacquiHeinrich on ending mask mandates: “Why are we not hearing the same messaging criticizing states that are…making these moves like we heard previously with…Ron DeSantis?”
Psaki claims there is a “distinct distinction” because he was “in the path” of those who want to hide their identities pic.twitter.com/CeDKJmi4L9
— Curtis Houck (@CurtisHouck) February 9, 2022
“There is a distinct difference standing in the way, which [he] did…of teachers, school administrators, & others taking steps to protect the students…There’s a difference b/w standing in the way of it…and allowing for local school districts to make choices[.]”
In the fourth, the White House may in the future launch specific funding programs that require schools to adhere to their mask mandates. It will serve two purposes. It will be an attempt to improve Biden’s popularity and to drive a wedge between governors and school boards.
The White House of Biden continues to oppose a costly and risky rearguard measure to keep masks at schools. Schools were targeted for their ability to propagate critical race theory, and even groom young girls into sexy behavior. The policy is often supported by teachers and administrators, so many children will be able to continue it as an adult.
