Democrats want people to watch the Jan. 6 show instead of Joe Biden’s failure. They are seeing more of the negative effects of Biden’s many failings than they are selling the TV drama.
Biden has been at the Summit of the Americas, and things have not gone well. At an event that’s supposed to be about unity and neighbors coming together, some countries just blew Joe Biden off and didn’t show up, including Mexico and the Northern Triangle countries to whom we are going to give $1.9 billion in aid. We’re giving them a ton of money but they can’t even be bothered to show up? Even the former Obama global engagement director Brett Bruen pointed out that the event was a “catastrophic failure.” Isn’t it great to have the adults back in charge?
Joe Biden has changed this. America’s leader is now disrespected by inferior heads of state, who defer instead to the interests of broken nations like Cuba and Venezuela. It’s clear these countries, sensing weakness in Washington, now feel confident in their ability to snub our president, unlike the last time the U.S. hosted in 1994, when Cuba was excluded. As Matthew Rooney of the Bush Presidential Center said, the snub “sends a political signal that the drawing power of the United States is not what it used to be.” This is a question not just of optics but of real policy consequences for America. Another migrant caravan — said to be the largest in history, estimated at 15,000 people — is headed northward. All this is happening as the reach of China’s Belt and Road Initiative has extended to 22 Latin American countries, with Chinese investments of $17 billion in the region last year and a 35 percent increase in trade.
It is bizarre that summit attendees are allowed to go along with their snubs. In a month, Biden plans to host López Obrador at the White House. It’s like rewarding a delinquent student who doesn’t show up to class by giving him a hall pass. America must not embrace nations that are hostile to it.
Biden created an eloquent image that showed how many people were watching him at the event. It was not a good look as he searched for attention that didn’t seem to be there.

Multiple people tried to interact with Justin Trudeau, but Biden did not seem to be engaged at the event. Normally, everyone would try to influence the United States of America leader to promote their own interests.
Then there was this moment where he invited the press to go “swimming in the pond.”

What? This is the guy who complains he’s getting short shrift by the media, and he tries to take a cheap shot at them at such an event? It’s not a very good look. We wouldn’t hear about it if President Donald Trump had done this. With Biden, it will likely be downplayed if it’s even reported by most media outlets.
Is this helping his numbers? It hasn’t.
Biden has been under 40 percent in multiple polls but now he’s fallen to his lowest average polling ever.
RealClearPolitics shows that President Biden is at a record low, 39.5 percent, as of Thursday. His disapproval, however, stands at 54.8 per cent. Two polls conducted in June have shown that the drop below 40 percent has occurred. One from Quinnipiac (6/3-6/6) shows Biden with a 35 percent approval rating and 56 percent disapproval rating, the other—an NPR/PBS/Marist survey (5/31-6/6)—has Biden at 39 percent approval and 52 percent disapproval. Americans also feel pessimistic regarding the future direction of the United States. Only 22 percent believe the United States on the right path, and 71.3 percent think America is heading in the wrong direction.
The number of Americans who think he’s on the wrong track is at 71 percent.
RCP Average just reported that 71% Americans think the United States is “on the wrong track”. That is the highest reading since October 2013. https://t.co/gsom3iVsmw pic.twitter.com/0g36Ttb3x4

The situation just keeps getting worse. However, we should talk about Jan. 6, Democrats.
