Biden Dismisses Musk’s Concern About The Economy

President Joe Biden seemingly dismissed Elon Musk’s concerns that the economy was headed for a downturn.

When asked about Musk’s comments, Biden dismissively responded to the Tesla CEO’s economic concerns: 

Biden stated that “While Elon Musk speaks about this, Ford increases their investment overwhelmingly.” Reuters. Ford is investing more in electric cars and making new ones. Six thousand more employees in the Midwest.

Biden then wished Musk “lots of luck on his trip to the moon.”

Musk thanked the president for his help.

The comments from the president came after Musk wrote in a company email that he had a “super bad feeling” about the U.S. economy. 

Reuters Reports claim that Musk informed employees that Tesla will reduce 10% its salaried workforce in order to respond to economic downturns.

“Note, this does not apply to anyone actually building cars, battery packs or installing solar,” Musk wrote in the email according to Reuters.

CNBC reported in the earlier part of the week, Musk telling employees that remote work was over at his company. Employees must now return to the office.

“Anyone who wishes to do remote work must be in the office for a minimum (and I mean *minimum*) of 40 hours per week or depart Tesla,” Musk said in an email according to Electrek. Musk stated that this is less than the factory workers are required to do.

“If I have to approve this exception for exceptional contributors,” he said.
