AZ GOP Candidate Drops Amazing Ad on Second Amendment That Has Dems Fuming – Opinion

Rep. Paul Gosar currently represents the fourth congressional district in Arizona, but he’s running in AZ-09 in 2022. The AZ-04 is up for grabs. There are several Republican candidates running to win the primary, including Jerone Davieson, Kelly Cooper and Rene Lopez.

Davison may have just set himself apart from the field with an ad that’s lighting up the internet. It’s already garnered more than a million views.

According to Davison’s campaign website, he is an ex-running back for Arizona State University as well as the NFL. He’s also been a pastor since 2005. But the ad wasn’t about his football career or his work as a pastor; it was on our Second Amendment rights and how wrong Democrats are to tell us what we “need” when it comes to guns or magazines. That’s a common theme from folks like Joe Biden, who tells us we don’t “need” an AR-15 and we don’t “need” thirty rounds.

This classic bit of ignorance by Joe Biden is hard to forget. “….[F]ire two blasts outside the house,” Joe urged. “Buy a shotgun.”

Davison offers a scathing response. “Democrats like to say that no one needs an AR-15 for self-defense, that no one could possibly need all 30 rounds,” Davison’s ad intones. But that’s when he lays out one example of when you might “need” it.

“But when this rifle is the only thing standing between your family and a dozen angry Democrats in Klan hoods, you just might need that semi-automatic and all 30 rounds,” he finishes.

Davison is also making a greater point with this ad, besides the fact that it’s Democrats who are often the racists they accuse Republicans of being. It’s not up to the Democrats and government to tell us what we “need” — the Second Amendment isn’t part of the “Bill of Needs”; it’s part of the “Bill of Rights.” That means the government and Joe Biden don’t get to dictate what we “need.”

Just as the Supreme Court ruled, New York State Rifle & Pistol Association v. Bruen, the government doesn’t get to demand what our “probable cause” is for “needing” to conceal carry.

Yes, people on the left are melting down all over Twitter over this ad, as I write this–one of the ways you can tell how good it truly is.
