At the End of the Day, Freedom Will Win – Opinion

Although I was away for much of last week, whenever I could check in to see the status of Freedom Convoy Canada in Canada, I wasn’t able to.

Much like many other people, I was glad to see that they continued their work despite all of the difficulties thrown at the them by the Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s government, the Ontario government, local authorities, The Ontario Superior Court of Justice, GoFundMe and the willing hall monitors.

I was also happy to find out that podcaster Joe Rogan was still not backing down, was still hosting his programs despite the left’s/media’s/Hollywood’s/Big Tech’s coordinated attempts to neuter him or shut him down.

Further, I was reminded how many prominent leftists including Bill Maher and J.K. Rowling continue to fearlessly express opinions contrary to established left-wing narratives on mask and vaccine mandates, cancel culture in general, and/or the transgender debate, proving that the red-pilling of America is in fact happening, much to the “woke” left’s chagrin.

When the United States was in its very first year following the coronavirus outbreak in 2020, conservatives appeared to have lost hope in their country’s ability to transcend government mandates regarding public health such as masking and social distancing. They also urged gatherings in churches and severe business restrictions.

At the time, it seemed like the only people raising questions about government overreach and how we couldn’t stay in that holding pattern forever were libertarians and Republicans including then-President Donald Trump, who rightly said on more than one occasion that the United States was not built to be sustained by the government at all, much less controlled by dictatorial fiat.

The left-leaning cancel culturalists were becoming more confident and trying to capture Rowling and Rogan. These were people that were just a few short years ago considered to be allies and would try unsuccessfully to make them their own.

The Usual Suspects made Senator Tom Cotton and Rand Paul look bad for asking questions about the history of the mask/vaccine mandates and the coronavirus. Roughly a year later, not only did their opinions begin going more mainstream, but the supposed “medical experts” we were told to mindlessly obey began reluctantly admitting whether under grilling from a Congressional committee or elsewhere that Cotton’s and Paul’s claims had some merit.
