AOC Slams Joe Biden for Broken Promises – Opinion

It appears there’s trouble in paradise for Democrats. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez openly called out Joe Biden today for breaking his promises, noting that he told the progressives in the House he could deliver the Senate on the “Build Back Better” bill. But with Joe Manchin signaling he’s a no-go and the bill now shelved until next year, that didn’t happen and the consternation has begun.

AOC is taking aim at Pramila Jaipal who was the leader of the Progressive Negotiations with the White House in her remarks? Let the jury decide.

To start, I’m not sure what tools she’s speaking of. Chuck Schumer might force a referendum, but the vote would not pass. But what would the purpose of this? If she’s talking about the filibuster, that requires Manchin’s support as well; though, a favorite game of the far-left is pretending they actually do have the power to abolish the filibuster but leadership won’t let them. It’s a calculated insinuation that more than enough uninformed radicals have bought into.

She might be referring to Manchin’s ability to put more pressure on him by challenging his committee assignments. Manchin might just make an agreement with Mitch McConnell, if that happened. Pretty soon, you’d have a Republican majority in the Senate without an election even having to take place. As for the president, there’s absolutely nothing he can do — despite AOC’s insistence otherwise.

This seems more juvenile from New York’s congresswoman, given these realities. She thinks that she can whine her own way to a filibusterproof majority. But Twitter brilliance never got the job done. So her thoughts are rather deplorable.

Still, it’s interesting that AOC would be so forward here in going after Biden. She’s essentially calling the other progressives suckers for believing the president, while at the same time lauding herself for not falling for his lies. In that sense, I suppose she’s right. It was a ploy to think that Biden, a genius legislator, would convince Manchin to turn darkside by whispering sweet words into Manchin’s ears.

AOC voted against bipartisan House infrastructure bills because Republicans made up the difference. Because she is always in the right, I think she would have been the deciding voter. The whole of her persona is one act. On Instagram, she plays the role of the communist revolutionary while doing the best for her career. This usually means that it is not offensive to Nancy Pelosi.

Let them win. The Democrat coalition has been crumbling for a while, and things are only going to get worse after 2022 when the progressives insist they lost because the party wasn’t woke enough. This will provide another opportunity for Republicans to move forward in 2024.
