AOC Responds to Tuesday’s Election Results and Republicans Should Thank Her – Opinion

With this week’s elections in the books, some of the most surprising outcomes actually happened outside of Virginia. Don’t get me wrong, Glenn Youngkin (and Winsome Sears) winning in a state that Biden took by 10 points a year ago was huge. Other factors were also important in big upsets like New York City, New Jersey and Seattle.

An Alexandria Ocasio Cortez-backed socialist, who was running for the position of mayor in Buffalo (NY), is one example. A write-in candidate had already won the race by about 20 points when the election was called.

AOC responded on Instagram (as if there was another way) AOC took to Instagram last night (because where else?) in response to her opinion on the results. Republicans are advised that they send her a card of appreciation.

Let’s say that I had a propensity to ram my head into a brick wall until I developed a severe headache. Do you know what lesson I wouldn’t take from that? The fact that I need to keep driving my head into brick walls. Yet, AOC’s prescription for Democrats who lost this week is more cowbell. Crazy woke politics led to Youngkin’s win, among others. What does AOC need more of? Crazy woke politics.

The GOP is truly blessed by this news. We’ve also seen similar double-downs in the news media and from the Biden administration, the latter of which is insisting that they just need to pass more big spending bills and everyone will love them. In 2022, all of this will result in a total wipeout for Democrats. Certainly, I’m here for it.

Let’s return to AOC, and the race in Buffalo. How was it that the socialist with wild eyes lost there? McAuliffe losing because he was too centrist in a state such as Virginia then surely India Walton, the Democrat Socialist, should have walked off with her race. AOC, like many politicians, has little ability to think for himself. She’s the embodiment of that Simpson’s meme that asks “Is it me?” only for Principle Skinner to decide it’s the children who are at fault.

In reality, however, AOC is the one that’s dragging Democrats into perpetual loss. McAuliffe didn’t lose because of a lack of progressive positions. Stacey Abrams was brought in to run for McAuliffe. He said that parents should not have any say over what their children are taught. He complained that there were too many white teachers. He followed the AOC playbook to a tee…and he lost.

Who am I to say what Democrats should do? If they want to keep going down the path they’ve been navigating, have at it. AOC will explain how the party needs to go when Republicans take 40+ House seats next year. Continue readingNext time, move to the left.
