We’ve seen so much of the “laptop from hell” — as author Miranda Devine termed it — it’s hard to imagine that there continue to be emails that can top the dysfunction that we know was there in the Biden family. But Fox is reporting an email that shows how problematic things got between Hunter Biden and his lover/brother’s widow Hallie Biden as their relationship went downhill in July of 2018.
In an email titled, “YOU NEED TO GET TESTED FOR HIV HALLIE,” obtained by Fox News Digital, Hunter demanded that Hallie get tested for HIV and inform him of the results that day. The email also accused Hallie of turning Hunter’s niece against him and called on Hallie to seek “serious long term professional help.”
“You need to inform me of the result. TODAY,” Hunter wrote at the time. “I am getting tested today. Hallie has been so scared of me that I’m now unable to function. [hang]Take me by the hand. The love you give is so disturbing.”
“I love you [Hallie] even when you’re cruel,” he added. “GET TESTED AND TELL ME RESULTS Today.”
In earlier email exchanges that same month, Hallie called Biden a “passive aggressive a–hole” and Hunter advised her to “focus on your sobriety.”
“I hope you have someone to turn to in bed in my brothers’ house and that that act of love can be for him or her or them and not a secret someone,” Hunter wrote to Hallie on July 15, 2018. “And don’t feel as if you lost the two best men you or anyone could have ever even dreamed of.”
He’s terrified there. Does he believe he was exposed? That’s not entirely clear. It does however harken back to the question he asked about Russian blackmail on him. Is there anything else he might have? I’m not even sure he knows, given all that he was involved in.
Hunter and his wife were still married at the time he had an affair with Hallie. They divorced shortly after he began his relationship. He had also been in a relationship, while he was still married to Hallie. They later had their child, Lunden Roberts. Not to mention having a relationship with Hallie’s sister, Elizabeth. Hunter denied that he was in a relationship to Roberts. He had to go to court to get his money back.
Joe was actually quite cool in his relationship with Hallie.
“We are all lucky that Hunter and Hallie found each other as they were putting their lives together again after such sadness,” the elder Biden said in a statement. “They have mine and Jill’s full and complete support and we are happy for them.”
That relationship then blew up at the end of 2018 with Hunter “calling her a clueless, middle-aged over botoxed flat a** loser.” Classy guy. He’s the smartest guy Joe knows. But imagine all the attacks that the left has directed at President Donald Trump’s successful adult children when you had this going on.
According to previous reports, Lunden Roberts had been questioned in February by the grand jury. The grand jury also questioned another ex-girlfriend of Hunter’s with whom he was in a relationship for multiple months in 2018, Zoe Kestan. Kestan was also questioned about high-priced hotels they stayed at in New York and Los Angeles. Kestan was also asked where she got the thousands of dollar he wanted her to withdraw.
While the dysfunction was deep-rooted, it seems like the grand jury is examining it all and may soon be able to deliver some tangible results.
