Absolute Karen Blasts Ron DeSantis for Telling Her Son He Didn’t Have to Mask – Opinion

In case you missed it, Ron DeSantis has been trending all day because he had the temerity to tell some high school students that they didn’t have to wear masks around him. He also told them that they didn’t do anything anyway, and in doing so, the Florida governor touched the third-rail of leftwing religiosity. A liberal would consider questioning their mask-wearing to be the equivalent of lighting a cross in front of them.

Because everything is stupid, now the mother of one student who removed his mask is slamming DeSantis. She claims he placed everyone at risk and made her feel foolish as a parent. The clip is ironic.

“I took yours off.”

“Did governor put pressure on you to do that?”

“A little.”

This is a stunning example of pure absurdity. This is a filet mignon for lunacy in politics. This perfectly blends the deranged logic of the left and a pinch of total hypocrisy.

It isn’t like a mother that believes that masks can do anything. Want to learn how? Because she is ranting and raving while…not wearing a mask. We get to witness all of her wild facial expressions.

And while the son claims he “felt pressured,” the dude was more than happy to take his face diaper off when DeSantis gave him the option. Take a look at the choice meme of his response.

That’s the face of a kid who is telling his mom he’s going to bed, when he’s really sneaking out the window. He didn’t want to wear that pointless mask, which is why he was more than happy to take it off when given the choice.

As to the hypocrisy I mentioned, Democrats who spent years supporting forced masking are now responding to this clip by claiming DeSantis encroached on this mother’s choice. It’s so convenient! You see, according to the left, parental control is a bad thing unless that control is being wielded to do something a Republican doesn’t like.

DeSantis allowed the students to choose. The teacher did not require them to remove their masks. This child removed his mask because he chose to. His mother’s meltdown over it speaks volumes about her inability to process and understand risk.

This is just partisan politics run amok because there’s no science behind high school students wearing masks. The mother’s vitriol against DeSantis is a clear indication that she was just trying to get some publicity. In the end, I’m not sure what’s dumber — her interview or the media reaction to it.
