ABC, the Cuomo Protection Network, Hides Andrew’s Latest Corruption Debacle

Perhaps ABC could be renamed CPN, The Cuomo Protection Network. The journalists at ABC are going out of their way to hide each new Cuomo scandal, whether it’s Andrew or former network host Chris. On Tuesday, it was announced that New York is ordering the ex-New York Governor to return the $5 million he received for his bragging book about handling Covid. 

CBS and NBC provided scant coverage. There was very little coverage by CBS and NBC. CBS Evening News on Tuesday allowed just 28 seconds and NBC’s TodayOn Wednesday, it was 27 seconds. It was covered by at least one network. So far, ABC has eluded it completely. Here’s Norah O’Donnell on CBS: 

An ethics committee in New York has asked Andrew Cuomo to hand over $5 million that he received from the state for his book regarding the pandemic. Cuomo made a promise to the ethics panel that he would create it himself and not use government resources. An investigation revealed that Cuomo’s staff worked on the book for many hours during work hours last month. Cuomo’s lawyer claims that he will not give up on the money.

New York’s Ethics Commission has ordered Andrew Cuomo, former governor of New York to pay back $5 million he received for his book on the coronavirus pandemic. The state board had previously approved Cuomo’s permission to author the book. He had broken an agreement that prohibited him from using any resources or state staff to write it. Cuomo’s lawyer calls the Commission’s actions illegal and promises a fight.

ABC’s World News TonightAnd Good Morning AmericaSince Tuesday, the story has been stalemated. But that’s not shocking. It was disclosed that Chris Cuomo (a former colleague) had been fired on November 30. GMA ABC cut out mention of Chris as co-host. He was secretly trying to undercut sexual abuse accusers against Andrew his brother, 

On December 6, two days after Chris Cuomo was fired from CNN for (among several reasons) accusations that he sexually harassed a woman while at ABC, ABC reported on this as allegedly happening at “another network.” 

It was ABC, not CNN. CNN might be embarrassed about its affiliation with Chris Cuomo but ABC is truly the protection outlet of the Cuomo brothers.
