Rob ‘Meathead’ Reiner Bemoans ‘End of Democracy’ If Garland Doesn’t Indict Trump

Rob “Meathead”, who appeared on Jonathan Capehart’s MSNBC Sunday show, was interviewed by the host. Reiner claimed that America’s democracy “hangs by a thread”. If Biden AG Merrick Garland fails to indict Donald Trump, then it would be “the death of democracy.”

Capehart began the discussion by citing Reiner’s latest article. tweet, wherein he apocalyptically asserted: “Without Donald Trump’s indictment, every day goes byYou are responsible for leading a deadly rebellion to overthrow America’s government takes us one day closer to ending our democracy.”

Reiner indicated that Garland was allowed to take his time building a case “rock-solid”, but Reiner disagreed. “he Be better At some point, announce the indictment of Donald Trump.”

Reiner claimed, likewise: “If Trump is indicted.“There will be violence.” “There is no doubt about that.”   

In the course of his rant, Reiner accidentally gave away the real terror that liberals such as him are experiencing.He declared:

[T]he longest democracy in – The world is hanging on by one thread. It is the only way to change climate, education, and economics. All those items are removed from the table ….. So, we need to start with Protect the democracies, and then we can speak aboutAll of these achievements, The things that we want to achieve in the future.

This means that liberals don’t care about losing democracy or the freedoms Americans enjoy under their Constitution.

What are liberals? truly The possibility of their losing power has many people worried. The power they have to direct American lives and dictate the future.Everything, including climate policy, education and the economy.

Reiner also suggested to liberals an excellent campaign strategy. Reiner said that if you do not follow the instructions of November’s election, you will be a terrorist.

He’s controlling every aspect of what he would now call the Republican Party. What is it? So, it is an autocratic movement. So, if you’re voting for Republicans, you’re not voting for Republicans. You’re voting for autocracy. You’re voting for the man who tried to overthrow the government. So, that is what is at stake here. It’s much more than, you know, am I voting for a Republican or a Democrat and I believe that Democrats right now are asleep at the wheel. They don’t understand the – the – the gravity of what’s happening here. 

Liberals are then the ones who should be the It is true Autocrats who are hungry for power and not concerned about individual liberty.  

Capehart enthusiastically acceptedThe segment was ended by Trump echoing his statement that Trump’s alleged crimes “are out there in plain sight.”

Reiner claims it will be “the end of democracy” if Biden AG Merrick Garland does not indicate that Donald Trump was supported in part by Plenity and St. Jude Hospital.

It takes us one step closer to ending our democracy.” Rob Reiner, actor, director and activist, joins me to share his perspective. Rob, we are glad to have you back. Was that what prompted you?

ROB REINER: Well, I mean, you just look at what’s going on right now. I mean, you’ve got a man — first of, all let’s dispense with the idea of Republican a Democrat. Or conservative and libertarian. We’re talking about democracy versus autocracy. We see it happening all over the world. That’s one of the reasons Putin invaded Ukraine. I mean, he’s wanting to destroy a democracy.

CAPEHART – Are you concerned that Attorney General Merrick Grland is not performing his duties or not moving quickly enough? Do you share – in terms of investigating January 6th. These are your concerns.

REINER : Well, I do not share his concerns about him moving too slowly. I also share your concerns. He should be able to tell you if doesn’t If we don’t move, there won’t be a democracy.

If you are going to indict someone, make sure your case is solid. It’s not worth it to take that path and have your case fall apart.

REINER: However, He should be able to tell you if doesn’t move forward, then you have the end of democracy. Rule of law does not exist. Therefore, the United States of America is free to commit any crime that it deems necessary. You have no democracy. 

He is doing exactly what he should. He should, but he must, at some time, I do not know when. He should announce at one point that Donald Trump is under indictment. There is no crime more serious than that which has been committed and we have all the information. You can see it all.

CAPEHART: It’s true. All of it is obvious to us. Congresswoman Madeleine Dean was also adamant that even though we are all aware of it, it doesn’t mean we should stop being outraged about what’s happened or what many fear will happen next.
