We have reported previously on Biden connections to Durham probe. DNI John Ratcliffe confirms that Joe Biden was informed by Clinton campaign officials about plans to discredit Donald Trump.
But, there’s another intriguing piece of information that the Free Beacon just dropped — that in 2020, the Biden campaign also paid the same internet company being talked about concerning the Durham probe.
The Biden campaign paid nearly $20,000 to a cybersecurity firm at the center of Special Counsel John Durham’s investigation into the origins of the Trump-Russia probe.
According to Federal Election Commission records, the campaign paid Neustar Information Services for compliance and accounting work in 2020. According to Durham, Neustar’s chief technology officer, Rodney Joffe, accessed sensitive web traffic data that the company maintained on behalf of the White House executive office to collect “derogatory” information about Donald Trump. Joffe allegedly gave the information to Michael Sussmann (Hillary Clinton’s campaign lawyer), who then turned it over to the CIA at a February 2017 meeting. Sussmann was charged by Durham in September for lying to FBI concerning his investigation into Trump.
It begs the obvious question: Was the exact same thing happening against Trump in 2020 as well?
According to Federal Election Commission records, the Clinton and Biden campaigns were the only presidential campaign to ever have paid Neustar. Biden’s campaign paid Neustar $18,819 on Sept. 29, 2020, the records show. In May 2015, the Clinton campaign gave $3,000 to Neustar for mobile telephone services. Neustar received $3,000 from the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Neustar executives and staffers contributed $17,906 to Biden’s campaign, FEC records show.
Now, it should be noted that Durham hasn’t accused Neustar or Joffe of having done anything illegal. Joffe is alleged to have collected data in order to give derogatory information about Trump to his campaign team. He also claimed that he believed he could get a job with the Clinton Administration. While Neustar and Joffe were not named in the Durham filing, Joffe’s attorney has confirmed his involvement.
The Free Beacon questioned the White House regarding this information, and how it related to this payment. The White House referred them to the DNC — and that says a lot right there.
Why can’t the White House simply answer the question, and if it’s an innocent campaign use, no problem? It raises many questions about what happened to the Clinton campaign. The “derogatory information” – such as the debunked Alfa Bank smear – was then allegedly fed to media and to the FBI by the Clinton people. So, it wasn’t just the surveillance, it was the alleged effort to spread that information to hurt Trump, even using the power of the government against him by giving information to the FBI. Sussman was charged with lying about FBI General Counsel James Baker that he denied looking into Trump under the direction of the Clinton campaign.
So, here’s another question that media needs to be put to Biden himself — and they should not let him dodge it.
