Manchin-Schumer Deal Vote Is In – Opinion

Even though Sen. Kyrsten SInema (D-AZ), put a last-minute block in the bill’s passage, it seems like the two sides came together around language, since it was just revealed that the Manchin-Schumer deal had just passed.

Is there any explanation for the Sinema roadblock about corporate minimum tax?

The Democrats figured out a way to do it bypassing the proposed Thune amendment, which would have been a “poison pill” for some of the Democrats in the House.

That means it’s now more likely the House Democrats who might have had issues will go along with it. So, it’s likely a done deal here. Sinema and Manchin sold us out, and it’s a bad day for America.
