Dems Get Enough Votes to Pass Infrastructure Bill – Opinion

Nancy Pelosi (D.CA House Speaker) decided enough was enough and she would bring up the bipartisan bill for infrastructure to be voted on.

It was ultimately the Republicans that helped Democrats get it across the finish line. The Democrats were able to hold the line while some progressives sat out. However, 13 Republicans voted in support of infrastructure. Each one should be challenged for their willingness to accept this monster.

The Dems have stated earlier that they will vote on Build Back better before November 15th. Some moderates also committed to voting for it if CBO scores are satisfactory.

But as I said, because they left in the objectionable things like paid leave that Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) and other moderates in the Senate weren’t going to sign onto, this is basically a message-sending/face-saving message to make the House look like they are doing their job when they didn’t do anything to get the Senate on board with it. The House was thus able to join them.
