Big Business Lessons, Small Business Opportunities: Taylor Klemm’s Approach to Entrepreneurship

Taylor Klemm built his approach to entrepreneurship on lessons from multibillion-dollar companies and a venture-backed startup. He now applies them to home services, a sector he believes aspiring owners overlook.

Taylor Klemm’s approach to entrepreneurship starts with one rule: you don’t have to reinvent the wheel.

“If there’s one message I’d want people to take away from my experience, it’s that you don’t have to reinvent the wheel to become a successful entrepreneur,” he said.

Klemm has spent 15 years building, leading, investing in and operating businesses. He held leadership positions within multibillion-dollar public and private companies, oversaw nearly $5 billion in real estate development projects, and co-founded a company that raised more than $50 million before he sold his ownership interests. He now owns three home-service brands, and in 2026 the Consumer Ratings Institute recognized him as “Top 1%.”

Big-company discipline, small-business setting

Inside large organizations, Klemm gained exposure to large-scale operations, strategic planning, capital allocation and growth. He now applies the operational discipline, financial expertise and strategic thinking from that period to building and scaling businesses in home services.

He believes the same fundamentals hold at any size. Leadership and financial discipline matter at a multibillion-dollar company, and they matter in a local service business. So do strong systems and consistent execution.

Where the opportunities sit

Klemm sees home services as an often-overlooked segment of the economy. The businesses provide essential services and do not depend on revolutionary technology. He thinks they suit entrepreneurs who are willing to learn, execute and build strong operations.

“Some of the greatest opportunities exist in ordinary, overlooked industries where strong systems, good customer service, and disciplined execution can create tremendous value.”

He also argues that you can start with less than you think. Klemm says an aspiring owner does not need a revolutionary idea, an Ivy League education or millions of dollars. You need a willingness to learn from people who have done it before and the discipline to execute.

Building owners

Buy Low USA grew out of this thinking. Klemm founded the company to make entrepreneurship more accessible, providing aspiring business owners with the systems, infrastructure, training and practical guidance needed to establish businesses under their own brands.

He wants Buy Low to grow into a nationally recognized platform that helps people take the leap into business ownership, creating opportunities for financial independence and greater control over their futures.

Beyond the business

Klemm has plans of his own. He aspires to write a book and to share his perspective through major podcasts, publications and other respected media platforms. He wants recognition as a practitioner rather than a personality.

“My goal isn’t necessarily to become a traditional influencer or motivational speaker, but rather to be recognized as an experienced entrepreneur who has built real companies, navigated both successes and setbacks, and can offer practical, credible insights to others looking to do the same,” he said.

He keeps the message grounded. Business ownership creates meaningful opportunities, Klemm says, and success still takes hard work, calculated risk-taking and consistent execution. He wants his personal brand to reflect someone who works hard, enjoys life, remains grounded and helps others pursue something bigger than a traditional career.

Taylor Klemm is an entrepreneur, business operator and investor. He owns three home-service brands and founded Buy Low USA.
