White Woman Who Identifies as Black Is Moving to Africa ‘to Be With Her People’

A white glamour model who had her skin artificially darkened has declared that she is moving to Kenya to complete her transformation into “a true African woman.”

Martina Big, 30, is a naturally fair-skinned and fair-haired German woman who has gained international notoriety with a pair of apperances on British talk show “This Morning,” during which she declared that she had changed races and her gestating baby will undoubtedly be black.

After two years of melanin injections, Big plans on leaving her native Germany to make a new life in Africa and to be with “her people,” as she called them in an interview Sunday with The Sun.

On a recent tour of Kenya in search of a home, Big was baptized ‘Malaiki Kubwam,’ which means ‘Big Angel’ in Swahili, the British tabloid reported.

In addition to having changed the color of her skin over the past two years, Big has reportedly undergone 24 surgeries at a price tag of $60,000. However, several of the procedures were to increase her breast size from 32D to 32S.

Being black is not Big’s only ambition in life. She has also stated that she seeks to possess the biggest breasts in the world.

According to The Sun, her physical transformation began seven years ago when she quit her job as a flight attendant and embarked on a quest to become a Barbie-like figure. But in 2017, Big began injecting herself with tanning serums in the beginning of what would soon become an obsession with into a black woman.

From the early stages, Big excitedly watched herself transition.

“At first I could only see my skin tone changing from light to dark to really dark, then after a while I could see my eye color change to darker, and my eyebrow and my hair changing too,” she said.

She claimed that the modifications were not just skin deep.

“It’s a change that is inside as well as out,” she said. “These changes are not superficial but deep inside me.”

The next phase of Big’s transformation involved traveling to Kenya last year with her husband Michael Eurwen “to learn more about my history and black culture.” Eurwen, who has also had tanning injections to try to keep up with his wife, took footage of the trip that shows Martina, clad in traditional garb, partaking in activities such as cooking over a campfire.

Big’s transformation exposes a tension inherent to progressivism. The fluidity of identity ― and the individual’s autonomy over it ― are staples of liberal identity politics. Gender reassignment, for example, is to be cheered.

Yet at the same time, the left is extremely protective of certain experiences as unique and unrelatable. This is why, according to some liberal critics, white privilege debilitates a person from understanding the black perspective, and why cultural appropriation is seen as so repugnant.

Big and Eurwen have reportedly yet to decide on a final location in Kenya, but they are leaning towards the northern part of the country because as Martina explained: “I like the dry hot climate. I was able to spend all day in the sun without sunscreen and did not get sunburned. I only got darker.”
