The White House Hands Vladimir Putin Another Massive Gift – Opinion

Washington’s current debate centers on whether or not to sanction Russian oil imports from the United States. This idea, which is a means to really hit Vladimir Putin in the heart, has been popularized by a variety of political backgrounds.

I have a slightly different view. While I support sanctions on Russian oil, it is only possible if the Biden administration permits more domestic production to compensate for the loss on the international market. Still, the general consensus seems to be that stifling Russia’s oil industry is the most effective means of making him feel the pain of his decision to invade Ukraine.

The White House, however, is not part this consensus. Jen Psaki and other senators announced Friday they would oppose the popular bipartisan Senate proposal to ban Russian oil imports.

This is a replay of the White House’s rush to lobby for Putin against Ted Cruz’s sanctions bill, which would have nuked the Nordstream 2 pipeline prior to Russia’s invasion. The Biden administration continues to bend the knee despite everything that’s happened. What point does mainstream media start to question why Putin and his handlers have become so dependent on him? That’s mostly rhetorical, but you get the point.

As to the idea that banning Russian oil imports would hurt American families, that’s actually true in a vacuum. However, the government has all the resources to make that happen. They could even bring prices down from the beginning of this year. This would be a great thing. HelpAmerican families would be grateful if Biden stopped teasing the climate change panic by approving pipelines and leasing more oil and natural gas.

Does that sound possible? Of course, it’s not going to happen. Instead, the White House will gaslight everyone and claim that gas prices are only up because of Ukraine’s situation.

Anyone reading this is old enough to have witnessed the steady rise in gas prices over last year. The Biden Administration has destroyed pipelines and frozen federal leases. This is only adding to the problems that are now hitting the middle class and the poor. What? To “save” the climate? It is not true that Russia’s oil production is better than America’s. This has never been true. If it was a way to hurt the oil companies, the greens and politicians would prefer people being exposed and wind turbines covering every mile of America. They are merely stuck in partisan politics.

And congrats, you get to pay the price so Biden can pretend he’s saving the planet. While Putin becomes richer, Ukraine is invaded. Do you think any of this sounds like a bargain?
