SAD TROMBONE: Turns Out, Fredo Wasn’t CNN’s Highest-Rated Show

In another case of Zuckerville (aka CNN) living in an alternative reality, CNN’s chief Zucker bootlickers and Trustworthy Sources host Brian Stelter ClaimedHis Wednesday Newsletter of Hate showed the November Ratings Prime TimeHost Chris “Fredo” Cuomo had the network’s highest-rated show among total viewers. But like most things with CNN, that wasn’t true.

First, here’s what Stelter claimed:

>> November’s cable news #’s came out on Wednesday, and “Cuomo Prime Time” was the network’s #1 show of the month among total viewers. In the 25-54 population, “This is Life with Lisa Ling” was ranked number one and “Diana” was number one.

You can see what actual adults report at sites such as TVNewserStelter’s founder or one of our friends RoadMNThe facts were clear Cuomo Prime TimeHe was second among CNN’s total viewers. Even worse, he was fourthIn the 25-54 age group.

Both revealed that Nielsen Media Research November numbers were pegged at Cuomo Prime TimeAt 774,000 views total, basic math would indicate that this was lower than the 786,000 viewers. Anderson Cooper 360

These two numbers put the show in context. They were 24th and 25th most watched weekday programs in cable news. This puts them in front of 15 of 16 Fox News Channel weekday shows, but ahead of only Fox & Friends FirstThe broadcast airs at 4:00 am Eastern and 6:00 am Eastern.

Cuomo was also behind eight of MSNBC’s 16 shows, including every show from 4:00 p.m. to 12 a.m. Eastern and Morning Joe’s 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Eastern slot.

Fredo’s performance in the 25-54 demographic was even more pathetic. He pulled down 170,000 viewers to 181,000. Erin Burnett OutFrontFor 173,000 Anderson Cooper 360And 172,000 more. Wolf Blitzer’s Situation Room.

Wrap reportedCuomo was on a ratings slide even before October:

CNN must also take into account the loss of Coumo’s appeal as this scandal continues. Chris Cuomo also has seen steady decline in viewers since Andrew Cuomo left as New York governor in August. According to Nielsen Media Research ratings data, November was the lowest-rated month for “Cuomo Prime Time”. It averaged 774k viewers for November. Of those, 170,000 of them were the advertisers-favorite 25-54 demographic.

By comparison, MSNBC’s “The Rachel Maddow Show” brought in a total average of 1.981 million viewers, with an average of 260,000 in the demo. Cuomo was CNN’s most-watched primetime anchor for much of the year, but was easily beaten by Anderson Cooper 360 last month.

Ironically, Stelter spilled plenty of ink in his newsletter defending the Biden administration as doing their best amidst a pandemic and receiving little credit for it as well as a large section denouncing “the Fox distortion field.”

Oops.
