Rittenhouse Judge Bars MSNBC From Trial After ‘Extremely Serious Matter’ of Jury-Stalking – Opinion

As we wrote, things are getting insane. Yesterday saw violence outside Rittenhouse’s courthouse.

But it’s getting even crazier than that, as Judge Bruce Schroeder and the Kenosha Police explained today. Police took a suspect into custody, believing he was trying to take photos of the jury. On the department’s official Twitter account, police said the jury wasn’t compromised by this person.

Yesterday night, a suspect in a national media outlet’s affiliation was briefly held and several traffic-related citations were issued to him. The suspect is suspected of trying to take photographs of jurors. Police are investigating this incident more thoroughly.

There were no security breaches regarding the jury. There is no additional information.

Judge Schroeder addressed the court about today’s events. The person was following the jury bus at the time he was stopped, he said. James J. Morrison was identified as the man who claimed to have been a producer of MSNBC. Someone had assigned him to track down the bus. Irene Byon, a New York-based booking producer at NBC News.

As far as the jury is concerned, there was no security breach. There were also no photos taken. There is no additional information.

MSNBC would be barred from the courtroom for the duration of the trial, according to Judge.

“I have instructed that no one from MSNBC news will be permitted in this building for the duration of this trial,” Judge Schroeder said. “This is a very serious matter and I don’t know what the ultimate truth of it is, but absolutely it would go without much thinking that someone who is following the jury bus – that is an extremely serious matter and will be referred to the proper authorities for further action.”

Channel 5 Chicago, an NBC affiliate confirmed Thursday morning that there was indeed an NBC producer.

It is obviously dangerous enough to be wild if you are just random. This is a doxing attempt to dox the juror if it’s actually a MSNBC or NBC employee.

This isn’t the only incident involving efforts to take pictures or dox the jury.

One member of the media allowed into the courtroom during Kyle Rittenhouse’s trial was kicked out. They were not allowed to return after taking an inadvertent photo of at most one juror. These photos were deleted.

We noted that there was an individual who couldn’t follow the jury bus. The video of him was then deleted. Additionally, someone made a claim claiming to be George Floyd’s relative. People were trying to doom the jury.
