A notorious British pedophile who was convicted of abusing 22 children in Malaysia has been stabbed to death in prison in England, according to reports.
Richard Huckle, 33, was found dead Sunday inside his cell at the Full Sutton Prison in North Yorkshire, Sky News reported. In 2016, he admitted to molesting 22 children, aged 6 months to 12 years, during a seven year period from 2006 to 2014. He was serving a 22 life sentences for his crimes.
According to the Daily Mail, Huckle was “shived” with a makeshift blade, and a fellow inmate has been put in isolation as Humberside Police prepare to open a murder investigation.
Huckle, of Ashford, Kent, posed as a Christian English teacher and philanthropist in poor communities, including Kuala Lumpur, where he targeted the children.
However, authorities believe Huckle may have actually had nearly 200 victims across Southeast Asia. Investigators found a scorecard on his computer, where he gave himself grades for the various kids of abuse he perpetrated against 191 boys and girls.
Images and videos of Huckle abusing children were widely shared on the dark web through a website called The Love Zone.
According to the Daily Mail, a fellow inmate of Huckle has been put in isolation as Humberside Police prepare to open a murder investigation.
“Your offending behavior became entrenched in your everyday life. Your life revolved around your sexual activities with young children. Your distorted beliefs in respect of children are deep-seated. Your self-delusion knows no bounds,” Judge Peter Rook told him during sentencing in 2016.

“It is also clear that, had you not been arrested, you planned to continue the same lifestyle using the expertise that you were keen to show off to and share with other abusers so as to continue your sexual exploitation of the children of such communities.”
