Response From Intel Letter Signers Tells You Everything You Need to Know – Opinion

I previously wrote about the intel letter that 51 former, U.S. intelligence officials signed trying to cast doubt on Hunter Biden’s laptop. The officials claimed that they thought it was Russian disinformation. This was in spite of the fact that they did not have evidence supporting their claim and didn’t know if it was accurate. That should have told any sentient being with one brain cell how much the letter was worth – that they were willing to put out such a letter based on nothing.

But the media and the Biden Administration then used the letter for all it was worth, claiming ‘experts’ said it was, in fact, Russian disinformation. Neither Joe nor Hunter Biden even denied it was real, yet Biden himself – who should have had cause to know it was real – responded “yes,” when he was asked if he thought it was Russian disinformation.

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki’s false tweet is still up, too.

One thing was to see liberal media pushing the narrative. It was one thing to have liberal media push the narrative. But social media tried to stop the story. Twitter banned the NY Post from posting the article and blocked the URL being shared. The truth was suppressed and the fake story was then spread by this letter, which was based in no way on Russian disinformation. This happened shortly before the election.

It’s a much more concerning situation when the intelligence community – which is supposed to be neutral – inserts itself to interfere in the election as they did. The letter was pitched as “bipartisan,” although most of the people were Democrats, according to the NY Post. The “intel” people didn’t bother to confirm it with the computer repairman or the people who said yes, the emails were real, like Tony Bobulinski. They were pushing the ‘disinformation’ of which they complained.

The NY Post didn’t hold back in their contempt for what these people did, as well as noting that some of them are still in positions to influence things, like former Obama Director of National Intelligence James Clapper.

The NY Post’s Saturday cover featured this:

The consequences were not imposed. Twitter and Facebook continue to censor political bias-related information, but Congress has not taken any action. Many of the letter signers continue to be used as “experts” by the media. Clapper, for instance, spent years on CNN calling Donald Trump a “Russian asset,” a lie invented and fed by political operatives of Hillary Clinton. He’s still there. You can guess accuracy isn’t a requirement for employment.

Given that the NY Times has admitted the laptop is real, they asked everyone for their responses now.

Are these people able to look back and say that they regret the actions of others? The NY Post has all the details. The NY Post link provided all the answers. They didn’t get a response from any of them. Most didn’t even bother to respond, showing what little respect they have for Americans. They had plenty to say when they were spreading bull, but now they’re too cowardly to speak? John Brennan, a former head of CIA, failed to answer.

A few, like Clapper, did respond. “Yes, I stand by the statement made AT THE TIME, and would call attention to its 5th paragraph,” Clapper said.

In the fifth paragraph, they said they did not have evidence. “I think sounding such a cautionary note AT THE TIME was appropriate.” Cautionary note? The fifth paragraph showed how empty their claims were — why they should never have put the letter out, and how they threw away any credibility any of them may have had. Clapper, of course, never had credibility.
