NFL’s JJ Watt Steps up Yuuge for Families of Waukesha Parade Victims – Opinion

Despite our continuing disillusionment with America’s pandering professional sports leagues, from NFL commissioner Roger Goodell’s prostration before the Black Lives Matter altar in the aftermath of Colin Kaepernick kneeling and George Floyd’s death, to the NBA’s complete disregard for crushed democracy in Hong Kong and Beijing’s genocide against minority Uyghur Muslims, every once in a while, a glimmering example of The American Dream: What does it mean to be one? This is the result of a multibillion-dollar industry that’s money-centric.

One such example is Boston Celtics center Enes Kanter, who continues to take the NBA and its “King” to task over Hong Kong and the Uyghurs. JJ Watt is another Arizona Cardinals defensive lineman, who has become a hero in the sporting world for his charitable work and overall good character.

We’re talking about A truly great guy.

Watt, according to NBC Sports, has offered his assistance in paying for funeral costs of Waukesha families who lost loved ones during the massacre of Waukesha’s Christmas Parade victims. Watt is a reported Black Lives Matter activist and career criminal thug.

Watt is a Waukesha-native who was a football player at the University of Wisconsin. He tweeted his feelings as the latest news attack broke. (Vs. “crash,” CNN.)

“Just now seeing what happened at the holiday parade back home in Waukesha tonight. Images horrendous. I pray that everyone will be okay and all are safe. Thankful to everyone who rushed to action and helped the wounded.”

Amen, JJ.

JJ’s brothers, Derek and T.J., who play for the Pittsburgh Steelers, shared their thoughts about the horror in their hometown on social media, as well.

“Thinking of all those affected by the senseless tragedy tonight back home in Waukesha, WI. This news truly is heartbreaking to see,” wrote Derek. Brother T.J. said “Absolutely devastated thinking of all the families affected by tonight’s tragedy.”

JJ Watt, as I mentioned at the top is an excellent guy.

As reported by TMZ Sports on Wednesday, Watt was named the NFL’s 2017 Walter Payton Man of the Year, a distinguished award that recognizes recipients for their charitable efforts. He also covered the funeral expenses of those who were killed in the Santa Fe High School massacre. After Hurricane Harvey devastated the Gulf Region, he raised $37M to rebuild Houston.

Watt’s latest Really good manThis effort is not just in a moment when Wisconsin reels from the horrendous Rittenhouse trial. Terrorist attack in domestic on the Waukesha Christmas parade but also at a time when professional sports in America isn’t doing all that well, either.

I believe Wisconsin will rebound much faster than the professional sports.
