On this episode of the NewsBusters Podcast, I and White House briefing scribe Curtis Houck are hanging around to discuss the liberal media’s open disdain for average Americans as they scoff at those struggling to make ends meet because of inflation, with one even suggesting people were lying about their struggles.
I was fired up by NBC business correspondent Stephanie Ruhle who claimed on Sunday that the “Little secret” Americans were keeping was that they could afford inflationary costs just fine. Claiming she was putting inflation “in perspective,” Ruhle asserted “And the dirty little secret here, Willie [Geist], while nobody likes to pay more, on average we have the money to do so.”
And According to her, “Household savings hit a record high over the pandemic. It was impossible to find money. And as we said a moment ago, we’re expecting retail sales this holiday season to break records.”
As we discredit her absurd argument, listen carefully.
The charity auction for Homes for Our Troops, which was coordinated by Jake Tapper (CNN anchor), is also a great way to have fun. We also look at the price people paid for Zoom calls of 30-minutes with journalists.
