For 13. Kamala Harris’s inability to keep staffers working for continued this week as her chief of staff is now leaving. Tina Flournoy is the 13th staffer to depart from the Vice President’s office since last June. The latest embarrassment was ignored by the evening and morning newscasts, just as the other dozen.
Here’s how The Hill reported it on Thursday afternoon: “Flournoy is the highest-ranking official to leave the vice president’s office, and news of her exit comes after a series of other departures from Harris’s staff.”
Fox News covered the news story on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Special Report’s Peter Doocy explains. Doocy noted that Flournoy “is the highest ranking Harris official to leave so far.”
This is an updated list of 13 Harris employees who are leaving or about to depart.
It’s not as though there has been no controversy about these departures. As even CNN explained in December, there is chaos and distrust coming out of the Vice President’s office:
Key West Wing staff members have been overwhelmed by the perceived dysfunctional and lackluster focus of their West Wing colleagues. They feel they don’t have enough time right now to address them, particularly with President Joe Biden facing rapidly increasing legislative and political issues.
Both sides of the exasperation are equally pervasive. CNN interviewed nearly thirty former Harris aides and administration officials as well as donors, political operatives and other outside advisors.
We’ll continue to update this tally as more staffers leave the Vice President’s office. You can view my original analysis of the departures here.
